Traditional nanodrug delivery systems have some limitations, such as eliciting immune responses and inaccuracy in targeting tumor microenvironments. Targeted drugs (Sorafenib, Sora) nanometers (hollow mesoporous silicon, HMSN) were designed, and then coated with platelet membranes to form aPD-1-PLTM-HMSNs@Sora to enhance the precision of drug delivery systems to the tumor microenvironment, so that more effective immunotherapy was achieved.

This study aimed to design a nanocarrier system for the efficient delivery of poorly soluble drugs in cancer treatment. Nanogel systems were prepared from copolymers of Heparin and different Pluronics, in which the Hep-Plu conjugates were formed via disulfide bridges of cystamine molecules. The obtained Hep-Plu systems were proved and characterized using specific techniques including H-NMR, zeta potential, DLS and FT-IR.

Mesoporous silica nanoparticles (MSNs) have been used as an anticancer drug delivery system with high safety and entrapment capacity thanks to their large internal space for drug accommodation, durable structure, and good biocompatibility. However, the treatment efficiency of the bare MSNs is limited due to its drug leakage and burst release. In this study, a phospholipid bilayer was covered on the MSNs surface (MSN@Lip) as a liposomal cap that not only reduced drug leakage but also improved the stability of the colloidal system.

Alternating copolymers (ACs) contain two distinct monomeric unit types dispersed in alternating order of hydrophilic block and hydrophobic block. ACs have extensive and versatile applications in both academia and industry, especially in drug delivery systems (DDS) due to their unique physical and chemical properties. In the present research, poly(β-benzyl l-aspartate) (PBLA) was prepared by ring-opening polymerization of BLA-NCA. The result obtained from GPC showed that PBLA was successfully synthesized with narrow weight distribution Mw/Mn = 1.055. T

In ebook "Peptide and protein interaction with membrane systems: Applications to antimicrobial therapy and protein drug delivery" the study of peptide-membrane interactions has been carried out using model membranes. It has been shown, indeed, that peptides feature the same activity on these systems. The most common membrane model is represented by lipid vesicles (liposomes), a simple but realistic system for physical and chemical studies of a variety of phenomena.
