English with pictures

This paper aims to provide a clearer picture of the main functions of short-term expatriate assignments. It is based on the results from an empirical study with involving 84 interviewees from different companies located in different host countries. The interviewees were managers mainly from Malaysian, Australian, and Singaporean companies that operated internationally. The duration of the interviews was in average of 1 hour 30 minutes. Extensive notes and voice recordings were made during the interviews.

The purpose of this study is to find out the difficulties and common mistakes made by second-year English non-major students in doing the picture description of the PET speaking test and to provide suggestions to help them really improve their speaking skills. The thesis aims to study the problems of image processing under the approach of HA theory. Building a gray level transformation function in S form to enhance the contrast for color images to apply HA. New homogeneity with hedge algebra applies to enhance contrast for color images. These results even led to running a second regression with a change in the independent and dependent variable to gain more insights. Although there is much information about facility spending and the rising expenses in college athletics, there is not much correlational data to date.
