Enhance students’ effective learning activity

The overall aims of this study are firstly to advance an understanding of the effectiveness of cooperative learning strategies in the classroom to enhance speaking skill. Secondly, the researcher would like to explore teachers' awareness towards cooperative learning activities such as pair works and group works. Finally, we would find out the effect of using cooperative activities in enhancing speaking ability.

This paper aims to discuss our experiences of promoting mathematical communication competence for students at secondary school in Vietnam. In this research, we applied the qualitative research that consists of the designed experiment and the participant’s observation method. From result experiment, we show out detail about Vietnamese students not only skills solving productivity problem but also mathematical communication competence. Besides, we offer solutions to enhance students’ effective learning activity.

To shift the paradigm from a passive tutor driven tutorials to more responsible active learning by the students, a cooperative teaching learning method could be a good alternative. The Jigsaw approach, a model of co-operative learning, focuses on learning in groups with fellow learner co-operation and reassures team work. Thus, this study was aimed at assessing the effectiveness of jigsaw strategy in comparison to tutorials in enhancing cognitive skills among the medical students in microbiology.

This paper explores the correlation of cultural awareness and blended learning in which an educator in charge of a tourism class can raise students’ cultural communicative competence together with their understanding of global culture. The results of the study show that the blendedlearning method in teaching and learning ESP helps learners to be completely aware of the extensive cultural issues mentioned in the curriculum in an active and effective way.

In this article we present a scheme in which the organization of the lecture activities (teaching, evaluation, assessment, etc) are organized according to a timeline that respects the overall aim of increasing the amount of feedback a given student receives. Although it may be widely recognized that on-going evaluation constitutes a positive framework that can enhance student performance, this study demonstrates that if all the activities are designed as a whole, the self-feedback of the student is increased and the overall performance improved.

The results indicated that the use of multiple in-class activities and digital technology in a flipped classroom are important to enhance students’ performance. It is also observed that the use of multiple assessments engaged students deeply with the course and provide deeper learning. Students’ performance in summative assessments showed that there is a noticeable improve in student’s scores in the current semester in contrast with previous semester where traditional teaching was practiced.
