Establish bounds

This article presents two methods to determine pressing forces to the M1 copper plate. The first approach employs the upper-bound method, and the second method combines numerical simulation with a central composite design. The upper-bound method uses physical analysis to determine the deformation zone and establish the division of the rigid block model. The findings were identical to the slip-line solution method.

This paper studies the proximal point algorithm for the class of generalized P0 variational inequalities. By using the upper semicontinuity result establishing the class of weakly univalent operators, we show that the iterative sequence generated by the algorithm is bounded, approaches to the solution set of the initial problem, and each of its accumulation points is a solution to the problem, provided that the solution set is bounded.

Efficient CO2 capture is necessary to solve the current environmental problems of global warming. Porous materials are promising for this purpose and adsorption capacity is a critical issue. Large cations in zeolites can often attach two small molecules, but it is not yet well established whether this applies to CO2.

In this paper, we establish the regularized gap function for a class of mixed parametric vector quasiequilibrium problems. Some examples are given to illustrate our results. Our main results extend and differ from those corresponding ones in the current literatures.

In the paper "Some properties of Reinhardt domains", the authors establish the equivalence between hyperconvexity of a fat bounded Reinhardt domain and the existence of a Stein neighbourhood basis of its closure. Next, the authors give a necessary and sufficient condition on a bounded Reinhardt domain D so that every holomorphic mapping from the punctured disk ∆∗ into D can be extended holomorphically to a map from ∆ into D.

The aim of the present paper is to give robust stability based on exponentially stable switched positive linear systems. Our theoretical analysis shows that if there exists a positive stable system of all positive subsystems, then a lower bound and upper bound for stability radius of the switched system under positive affine perturbations are established.

While nuclear transcription and RNA processing and localization are well established for protein coding genes (PCGs), these processes are poorly understood for long non-coding (lnc)RNAs.

This paper applied the ARDL bounds test approach and the VECM test technique to examine the long run relationship and direction of causality between renewable energy consumption and economic growth in Argentina. Quarterly time series data was employed in this study covering a period between 1990 and 2018. Trade openness, capital and employment were included in the study to form a multivariate framework. The results established that there is a long run relationship between the variables.

In this paper, the problem of exponential stability for a class of nonlinear neutral systems with interval time-varying delay is studied. Based on improved Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals combine with Leibniz-Newton’s formula, new delay-dependent sufficient conditions for the exponential stability of the systems are established in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs), which allows to compute the maximal bound of the exponential stability rate of the solution.

Order picking in conventional warehouse environments involves determining a sequence in which to visit the unique locations where each part in the order is stored, and thus is often modeled as a traveling salesman problem. With computer tracking of inventories, parts may now be stored in multiple locations, simplifying replenishment of inventory and eliminating the need to reserve space for each item. In this environment, order picking requires choosing a subset of the locations that store an item to collect the required quantity.

The physiologically based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) model for liver transporter substrates has been established previously and used for predicting drug–drug interactions (DDI) and for clinical practice guidance. So far, nearly all the published PBPK models for liver transporter substrates have one or more hepatic clearance processes (i.e., active uptake, passive diffusion, metabolism, and biliary excretion) estimated by fitting observed systemic data.

This paper presents an efficient and accurate numerical technique based upon the scaled boundary finite element method for the analysis of two-dimensional, linear, second-order, boundary value problems with the domain completely described by a circular defining curve. The scaled boundary finite element formulation is established in a general framework allowing single-field and multi-field problems, bounded and unbounded bodies, distributed body source, and general boundary conditions to be treated in a unified fashion.

oblem for a ND nonlinear elliptic equation in a bounded domain. As we know, the problem is severely ill-posed. We apply the Fourier truncation method to regularize the problem. Error estimates between the regularized solution and the exact solution are established in p H space under some priori assumptions on the exact solution.

In this paper, certain system of linear homogeneous differential equations of second-order is considered. By using integral inequalities, some new criteria for bounded and L2 ½0;1Þ-solutions, upper bounds for values of improper integrals of the solutions and their derivatives are established to the considered system. The obtained results in this paper are considered as extension to the results obtained by Kroopnick (2014) [1]. An example is given to illustrate the obtained results.

In this paper we study nonlinear second order difference equations subject to separated linear boundary conditions. Sign properties of the associated Green’s functions are investigated and existence results for positive solutions of the nonlinear boundary value problem are established. Upper and lower bounds for these positive solutions also are given.
