The aim of this research is to explore the application of natural biopolymer chitosan for the purpose of incorporating fragrance oil into automotive fabrics and its antimicrobial properties relevant to automotive interior textiles. Chitosan was selected for this study for its film forming ability and inherent antimicrobial attributes. 100% polyester automotive fabrics were used in this study, as 100% polyester is predominant fibre used for automotive interior textiles.

The objective of the present study is to produce base layer winter active sportswear fabrics using natural and synthetic fibres and their blends which will deliver good comfort properties. Polyester, wool and bamboo fibres were selected for this study. Polyester is the most common fibre used in sportswear, wool is increasingly being used in sportswear and bamboo is a relatively new fibre that offers properties suitable for base layer sportswear. Bamboo is also regarded as a 'green' and eco-sustainable fibre.

The sorption isotherms were best described by the Freundlich model rather than Langmuir or linear models. We determined that using wood fibre in constructed wetlands would require around 35–66% less area to remove the selected micropollutants, compared to soil as matrix. Thus our results show the potential of using hydroponic substrata such as wood - and coconut fibre to both remove micropollutants in, and reduce the footprint of constructed wetlands.

The biochemical parameters of the jackfruit pulp like TSS, reducing sugar, nonreducing sugar, total sugar, ascorbic acid and crude fibre showed significant variation among the accessions studied.

The main objectives of this study were to develop jackfruit-based high fiber cookies by utilizing jackfruit rind flour in cookies formulation, and to characterize physical properties of produced high fibre cookies. Mulberry leaves contains (g kg-1 on dry matter basis) 163 g kg-1 ash, 201 g kg-1 crude protein, 120g kg-1 crude fibre and chemical analysis indicated highest crude protein and the lowest non digestive factor contents (22.3 and 31.1% dry matter, respectively) among the four forages tested. The caloric values were calculated as 241.05 Kcal./100g.
