The paper presents a new approach to the speed control of a switched reluctance motors (SRM) is that using a back-stepping controller combining with an artificial neuron network based flux estimator. The nonlinear mathematical model of switched reluctance motor (SRM) is established and the back-stepping control strategy is applied to control SRM. The ANN will be used to estimate the flux of the motor instead of approximated model or experimental values.

This article presents analyses of changes in the seasonal characteristics of the far future climate (2080-2099) across Vietnam as projected by the Non-Hydrostatic Regional Climate Model (NHRCM) in terms of the RCP 8.5 (Representative Concentration Pathways 8.5) scenario. The results show significant changes in seasonal rainfall in Vietnam compared with the 1982- 2003 baseline period.

In this paper, we investigate the phenomena of concentration and cavitation and the formation of delta-shocks and vacuum states in solutions of the pressureless type system with flux approximation. First, the Riemann problem of the pressureless type system with a flux perturbation is considered.

This study presented the implementation of some typical finite difference schemes solving the compressible Euler equations. As categorized in, the numerical methods will be studied are the Flux Difference scheme, whose Roe’s Approximate Riemann Solver is the representative; the Flux Vector Splitting scheme, whose Steger-Warming method is the representative; the Flux Limited Method.

Mitochondrialb-oxidation is a complex pathway involving, in the case of saturated straight chain fatty acids of even carbonnumber, at least 16proteinswhichare organized into two functional subdomains; one associated with the inner face of the inner mitochondrial membrane and the other in the matrix. Overall, the pathway is subject to intramito-chondrial control at multiple sites. However, at least in the liver, carnitine palmitoyl transferase I exerts approximately 80% of control over pathway flux under normal conditions....

Temperature has a strong influence on most individual biochemical reac-tions. Despite this, many organisms have the remarkable ability to keep certain physiological fluxes approximately constant over an extended tem-perature range. In this study, we show how temperature compensation can be considered as a pathway phenomenon rather than the result of a single-enzyme property.

They find that the elasticity of CO2 emissions and energy are close to unity (i.e., a 1% increase in population leads to an approximately 1% increase in CO2 emissions). They do not estimate how these elasticities may vary with population levels. All of these results are based on cross-sectional data for 1 year only. Finally, Shi (2003), again in the context of the IPAT model, uses a panel of cross-sectional and time series data. Shi finds population elas- ticities for CO2 of between 1.41 and 1.

During the Uruguay Round trade negotiations, the United States and several of its major trading partners agreed to eliminate tariffs on pharmaceutical products, certain derivatives, and certain chemical intermediates used in the production of pharmaceuticals. 1 This agreement is known as the Pharmaceutical Zero-for-Zero Initiative (Initiative or Pharmaceutical Agreement).

A numerical model using the 1D shallow water equations was developed for the simulation of long wave propagation and runup. The developed model is based on the Finite Volume Method (FVM) with an application of Godunov - type scheme of second order of accuracy. The model uses the HLL approximate Riemann solver for the determination of numerical fluxes at cell interfaces. The model was applied to the simulation of long wave propagation and runup on a plane beach and simulated results were compared with the published experimental data. The comparison shows that the present model has a power...

Serial Connection And Parallel Connection Figure 1 shows the most basic and commonly used circuits for driving light-emitting diodes. In Figure 1(A), a constant voltage source (VCC ) is connected through a current limiting resistor (R) to an LED so that it is supplied with forward current (IF). The IF current flowing through the LED is expressed as IF = (V CC - VF)/R, providing a radiant flux proportional to the IF. The forward voltage (V F) of the LED is dependent on the value of IF, but it is approximated by a constant voltage when setting R. Figures 1(B) and...
