A semi-analytical approach of nonlinear dynamic buckling of functionally graded carbon nanotubes reinforced composite (FG-CNTRC) cylindrical shells stiffened by the ring or stringer FG-CNTRC stiffeners by using the Donnell shell theory with the geometrical nonlinearities in von Kármán sense is reported in this paper. The improved smeared stiffener technique is applied for FG-CNTRC stiffeners.

A semi-analytical approach of nonlinear vibration of functionally graded carbon nanotubes reinforced composite (FG-CNTRC) doubly curved shallow shells stiffened by longitudinal or transversal FG-CNTRC stiffeners by using the first-order shear deformation theory (FSDT) with the geometrical nonlinearities in von Kármán sense is reported in this paper. The novel smeared stiffener technique is improved for FG-CNTRC stiffeners according to the FSDT.

An analytical approach of nonlinear buckling and postbuckling analysis of core-corrugated functionally graded carbon nanotubes reinforced composite (FG- CNTRC) cylindrical panels under axial compression is presented in the present study. A homogenization technique is applied for the corrugated core with thermal effects. The nonlinear stability equation system of panels is formulated by using the Donnell thin shell theory with the von Kármán geometrical nonlinearities.

The paper "Nonlinear finite element approach for contact problems in hyper-elastic models" considers the contact problems between hyper-elastic bodies by using finite element analysis (FEA). In this study, high-order elements is used with its advantages such as less element usage, more accurate results and geometrical flexibility... The contribution of this paper is development of programs that can calculate and simulate the specific contact problem between hyper-elastic bodies.

Ebook "Theory of the electron: A theory of matter from START" is devoted to the construction of a deductive theory of the electron, starting from first principles and using a simple mathematical tool, geometric analysis. Its purpose is to present a comprehensive theory of the electron to the point where a connection can be made with the main approaches to the study of the electron in physics.

In this work, geometrically nonlinear behavior of sandwich composite beams reinforced by carbon nanotubes is studied, taking into account the influence of agglomeration of the carbon nanotubes (CNTs). The core of the sandwich beams is homogeneous while the two face sheets are made of CNT reinforced composite with the effective material properties being estimated by the Eshelby-Mori-Tanaka approach.

Doctoral thesis of Philosophy: Modelling of inhomogeneous magnetic fields in electromagnetic devices
This thesis derives closed form equations to describe electromagnetic device characteristics for a toroid, solenoid and a case study induction machine. By considering stored magnetic field energy, this approach allows the relationship between electrical, magnetic and kinetic energy to be quantified and analyzed in ways that allows improved accuracy compared with conventional magnetic circuit modeling methods. This thesis also provides insights into how geometric parameters impact energy transfer and operational characteristics of electromagnetic devices.

A non-material shell finite element model is developed and applied to the example problem of a slack steel belt moving on two rotating drums. For the first time in the open literature we demonstrate an approach for predicting the time evolution of the lateral run-off velocity of the belt in response to its geometric imperfection and angular drum misalignment.

This study presents a unified approach to simulate the behavior of rectangular concrete-filled steel stub columns incorporating high strength and ultra-high strength materials subjected to concentric axial compression. The finite element model is developed based on Abaqus software, which is capable of accounting for geometrical nonlinearity, material plasticity, and interaction between multi-physics.

In addition to experimental studies, a computational approach was carried out to study the geometrical parameters, electron densities, and UV-Vis absorption spectra of sulfadiazine and SDCYS adduct in water. Calculated (B3LYP/6-311++G(d,p) level) and experimental UV-Vis absorption spectra of the compounds were found to be in good agreement in water. The computational study suggests that cysteine bound to the C(5) on the pyrimidine ring via SH-group nucleophilic attack.
