Government official’s performance

This study was designed to determine the partisanship and performance of youth leaders locally known as Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) officials in the Second District of Negros Oriental, Philippines. This study also aimed to determine the profile of the youth leaders and the extent of partisanship before and after the election.

Entrepreneurship involves the creation of jobs and wealth in the economy, normally through a small business management. The entrepreneurs may face some problems in performing these functions because certain psychological factors affect their entrepreneurship activities. The study investigated the impact of psychological factors on entrepreneurial intention among Agricultural students of SKUAST-K in Kashmir. Purposive sampling method was used to select colleges followed by simple random sampling to select students, constituting a sample size of 120.

This paper theoretically and empirically explores the reason why Chinese enterprises engage in inefficient investment from the government’s grabbing hand perspective on a large sample of 8501 firm-year observations between 2003 and 2011. The results suggest that influenced by the grabbing hand of local officials, private enterprises exhibit significantly higher investment distortion and inefficiency in terms of overinvestment and underinvestment than the enterprises controlled by the governments at all levels.

The organizational structure for project management is often chosen to mitigate risk in a weak capacity environment, but it may also reflect internal incentives that focus on speed of project processing and disbursement, and perceived stigmas in low implementation performance ratings. The result is often the use of PIUs—sometimes semi-permanently—even though regional studies have shown that they are suboptimal organizational arrangements and create problems of morale among government officials.
