Grammatical structure

This research aims at investigating the effects of implementing teaching grammar through context on the development of students’ language competence. It also aims to identify students’ problems and their learning styles with the expectation that this new method will help them to get the hang of perceiving the rules of new grammar structures and providing accuracy in the target language.

Aims of the study: To compare the noun phrases in the original text of the book “Fire and Fury” by Michael Wolff and the Vietnamese version translated by Tran Trong Hai Minh and to identify mismatches between the two texts in term of lexicon, grammatical structure, situational and cultural context; to find out how the translator deal with those mismatches to achieve the equivalent translation.

This work describes an online application that uses Natural Language Generation (NLG) methods to generate walking directions in combination with dynamic 2D visualisation. We make use of third party resources, which provide for a given query (geographic) routes and landmarks along the way.
