Ebook "Dynamic studies through control of relaxation in NMR spectroscopy" offers a remarkably cogent view of highly sophisticated NMR methods. Salvi developed these methods in order to characterize the amplitudes and frequency ranges of local motions in biomolecules such as proteins. These local motions play an essential role since they can explain many of the remarkable properties of proteins and enable them to carry out all sorts of vital functions, from enzymatic catalysis to intermolecular recognition and signalling in cells.

Ebook "Field-flow fractionation in biopolymer analysis" collection of important biomedical applications for a set of separation/characterization techniques that are rapidly gaining popularity due to their wide dynamic range, high resolution, and ability to function in most commonly used solvent systems. Importantly, the field-flow fractionation (FFF) technique has recently emerged as a prominent complement to size exclusion chromatography for protein pharmaceuticals.

The coexistence of the transverse and fast sounds of liquid metals in the terahertz range near the melting point is explained. These sound modes are phonon polaritons arisen from the interaction between the transverse collective ionic oscillations, known as phonons, and the electromagnetic wave radiated by the ions in vibration at high enough frequencies, for instance, in liquid Zn, Cu, and Fe.

The influence of genetic variation on complex diseases is potentially mediated through a range of highly dynamic epigenetic processes exhibiting temporal variation during development and later life. Here we present a catalogue of the genetic influences on DNA methylation (methylation quantitative trait loci (mQTL)) at five different life stages in human blood: children at birth, childhood, adolescence and their mothers during pregnancy and middle age.

A case study is presented when the car is parked at a landing level where the fundamental natural frequencies of the car, suspension and compensating rope system coincide with one of the natural frequencies of the high-rise building. The results show a range of nonlinear dynamic interactions between the components of the elevator system that play a significant role in the operation of the entire installation.

This work presents the effect of pressure on the local microstructure of amorphous Germania (GeO2). The Molecular Dynamics simulation was performed on systems at 900 K and high pressure up to 70 GPa. The structural properties have been analyzed through the pair correlation function, coordination number distribution, and structure factors.

The measurement methods using structured light have the advantage of being fast, accurate, and noncontact with the surface of the object. However, these methods have reached its limitation when measuring mechanical details with high surface gloss, due to the unpredictable reflection of incident rays after reaching to object’s surface that, consequently, leads to the simultaneous appearance of several regions with different brightness.

Promoter motifs in Entamoeba histolytica were earlier analysed using microarray data with lower dynamic range of gene expression. Additionally, previous transcriptomic studies did not provide information on the nature of highly transcribed genes, and downstream promoter motifs important for gene expression.

In our study, we used molecular dynamics simulation (MD) to study diffusion mechanism in liquid MgO at a temperature of 3800K at a pressure ranging from 0 to 25 GPa. The calculated results and analysis of dynamical properties, spatially heterogeneous dynamics and diffusion mechanisms in MgO liquids will be reported in detail in this work.

A dynamic growth model (CO2FIX) has been used for estimating the Carbon Sequestration Potential of Kafal (Myrica esculenta), an indigenous multipurpose tree used for timber, fuel wood, fiber and in addition to its medicinal value. The present study has been carried out in the campus of V.C.S.G. College of Horticulture, U.U.H.F., Bharsar, Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand. The altitude of the location is ranging from longitude 78.59’:20.28’E, latitude 79.00’:30.05’N and 2000 m MSL altitude. The temperature and rainfall of this hilly area ranged from -4.0 to 28.

The present study describes physicochemical characterization and rhizosphere soil mycoflora in the field of onion white rot caused by Sclerotium cepivorum. Soil fungi in onion infected field need to improve knowledge of diversity of fungi associated with white rot of onion. Infected rhizosphere soil, sixteen physicochemical parameters were analysed. It founds alkaline pH but EC, N, Ca, Na, B, S and Mo contents were found least whereas OC, P, K, Zn and Cu high in infected soil as compared to standard range.

Actomyosin from fresh pinkperch (Nemipterus japonicus) meat was isolated and its properties were assessed. The SDS-PAGE pattern indicated multiple bands in the molecular weight range of 210 5 KD to 2104 KD. The dynamic viscoelastic behaviour revealed sol-gel transition at 2 temperatures, 36.7°C and 63.3°C. Setting of actomyosin at 30°C for 1 hr could increase the storage modulus values significantly. The freezing and frozen storage of actomyosin alter solubility in high ionic strength buffer by 17.9% and reduction in Ca++ ATPase activity by 41.8%.

The dynamism of fashion industry has forced retailers to desire low cost, versatility, flexibility and quality in design and speed to market. Highly competitive fashion market constantly needs to „refresh‟ product ranges which led to the appearance of small collections of merchandise. The rich traditional heritage, across the length and width of our country, offers diverse inspiration to the textile designers today.

This paper proposes a Histogram Based Exposure Time Selection (HBETS) method to automatically adjust the proper exposure time of each lens for different scenes. In order to guarantee at least two valid reference values for High Dynamic Range (HDR) image processing, we adopt the proposed weighting function that restrains random distributed noise caused by micro-lens and produces a high quality HDR image.
