Hoa Binh province

Gynostemma pentaphyllum (Thunb.) Makino is a medicinal plant distributed mostly in the mountainous areas of Vietnam. G. pentaphyllum contains more than 189 types of saponin which can be used for the treatment of various diseases.

This study will investigate the determinants of firms’ investment with the focus on the influences of macro and regional factors on asset investment of SMEs in four provinces of Northwestern Vietnam, including Hoa Binh, Son La, Dien Bien, and Lai Chau. The study will provide new empirical evidence on the drivers of SMEs’ asset investment in poor localities in developing countries.

Litsea baviensis Lecomte, which belongs to the family Lauraceae. The plant was found in China, Thailand and Vietnam (Ban, 2003; Wu et al., 2008). In Vietnam, this species has been recorded in Lao Cai, Son La, Ha Noi, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Khanh Hoa provinces (Vietnamese as Bời lời Ba Vì). Notably, in the present study, this plant also was added distribution area in Vietnam (Dak Nong province).

Aim of the thesis: Development of a new method for determining concentration of the radionuclides in enviromental samples by mean of gamma spectroscopy. Establishing a data set of the soil-plant transfer factor (TF) of radionuclides 238U, 232Th and 40K for some vegetables in Truong Sa island and that of 238U, 232Th, 40K and 137Cs for tea tree from Luong My farm, Hoa Binh province, Vietnam and evaluate the influence of natural radionuclide concentration to the soil-plant transfer process of artificial radionuclide 137Cs.

The aim of this study was to isolate and optimize the growth conditions of thermophilic microorganism from hot springs. The isolation was conducted by using the mineral salt basal medium supplemented with 0.6% yeast extract at 500C. Totally, 33 isolates of thermophilic microorganism were isolated from hot springs at Truong Xuan (Khanh Hoa province) and Binh Chau (Ba Ria - Vung Tau province).
