Identify the resonance curve
-
Continuing our study in [3], in the present paper we examine the system without damping h = 0. In this particular case, the original equations and the associated ones are very simple and can easily be solved. The "exact" original resonance curve C0 and the "exact" associated one C will be given. Thus, we a:re able to compare two resonance curves and to "estimate" the indirect method proposed.

Identifying the resonance curve of a system subjected to linear and quadratic parametric excitations
In the present paper, we examil}e the case in which the linear and quadratic parametric excitations are present. The asymptotic method [ 1] is applied. We are interested in the method of identifying the resonance curve. The results obtained show that the "associated" equations can be used.

In the theory of nonlinear oscillations, in order to identify the resonance curve we usually try to eliminate the dephase in the equations of stationary oscillations. We obtain thus a certain frequency-amplitude relationship.

In the system under consideration there appears mixed oscillation due to the interaction between derived excitations. Various forms of the resonance curve were identified. The stability study was based on an abbreviated form of the second stability condition [2].
