This study was conducted to investigate the role of mass media in enhancing self-studyof English listening comprehension and suggest ways to improve listening comprehension. The research utilizes quantitative methods to analyze the results, focusing on promoting collaboration and fostering learners’ autonomy through theutilization ofmassmediaas language learning tools.

This research is aimed to find out the mistakes students at Asian High School (AHS) usually have while they have a Listening test. Since their faults happen quite a lot when they build an academic essay, this research also gives students best methods to improve their listening skills. In present, with the development of high technology, numerous techniques to teach listening are applied in listening lessons; however, dictation is still a good method to be used to teach listening when it has various implications for educators in terms of classroom instructions.
