Klebsiella pneumonia, a Gram-negative bacterium belonging to the genus Enterobacter, causes many human and livestock diseases. Notably, infected goats may develop pneumonia, septicemia, which can lead to occasional death, resulting in great economic losses in goat-farming industry. However, there are little systematic methods for detection of goat Klebsiella pneumoniae in livestock production.

Immunization of pigs with an inactivated Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae vaccine (bacterin) generates hyperimmune serum that contains high concentrations of anti-M. hyopneumoniae IgG. Commercially available IgGELISA kits cannot distinguish between anti-M. hyopneumoniae IgG in inactivated bacterin-induced hyperimmune sera and convalescent sera resulting from natural M. hyopneumoniae infection.

Những chó này đã được tiêm vaccine phòng bệnh dại sau thời gian 9 tháng và 12 tháng. Mẫu huyết thanh sẽ được kiểm tra bằng phương pháp ELISA với bộ kít SERELISA® Rabies Ab Mono Indirect từ hãng Synbiotic của Pháp.

In the present study, a total of 315 blood samples were collected in vacutainer with and without anti-coagulant from dogs presented to Teaching Veterinary Clinical Complex, Veterinary College, Shivamogga and private clinics in Mangaluru as well as dogs in nongovernmental organization at Mangaluru. The blood samples collected with anti-coagulant were used for detection of microfilaria by modified Knott’s method.

Brucellosis is a zoonosis known to be a major public health hazard of great economic importance globally. The present study was taken up to ascertain the seroprevalence of brucellosis in goats, sheep, and humans of Anand, districts of the Central Gujarat region. A total of 200 serum samples were collected from the goat and sheep of Anand district and subjected to different serological test i.e., Rose Bengal Plate test (RBPT), Standard Tube Agglutination Test (STAT) and Indirect ELISA to detect the Brucella antibody and also compared in terms of their sensitivity and specificity.

Therefore in this study immunodominant region in TP53 gene was amplified and cloned in prokaryotic expression vector. Further the conditions were optimized for the expression of the recombinant protein. The recombinant protein was purified using Ni-NTA affinity chromatography. The hyperimmune sera were raised in rabbits against the recombinant protein. In the hyperimmune sera, antibodies specific to TP53 were detected by Indirect ELISA, confirming the serological reactivity of the immunodominant region.

Goatpox and Sheeppox are highly contagious, trans-boundary viral diseases of sheep and goats and are economically important causing high morbidity and mortality along with huge production loses. The disease was recorded for the first time from Assam in 2016 with high morbidity and mortality. No systematic vaccination policies are being followed so far against this disease. Therefore, the present study was undertaken to study the sero-prevalence of goatpox in goat population of Assam.

Autoimmune endocrine disorders are considered one of the extrahepatic manifestations of Hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection. HCV could trigger cytokines release due to local inflammation. Interleukin 17 a (IL17a) and Interferon gamma (IFNγ) play an important role in pathogenesis of autoimmune disease. Herein, we tried to assess the serum levels of IL17a and IFN-gamma in cirrhotic HCV infected patients with autoimmune thyroiditis. Serum samples were collected from 183 cirrhotic HCV infected patients.

The present study was undertaken to identify the presence of anti-leptospiral antibodies in the bovine serum samples using two serological tests, a genus specific indirect ELISA and a serovar specific microagglutination test (MAT). Peste-des-petits ruminants (PPR) is an economically devastating viral disease of sheep and goats. In the present study, we have evaluated the reactivity profile of the recombinant non-structural protein C of PPR virus with vaccinated and convalescent goat sera in an indirect ELISA. The antibody against this protein is getting produced in both vaccinated as well as in convalescent animals.

Japanese encephalitis (JE) is a mosquito borne viral infection of brain. It is prevalent worldwide, most prominent in eastern and southern Asia. Domestic pigs and wild birds are reservoirs of the virus; humans get the disease through mosquito bite that carries the virus. Therefore, the present study was undertaken to uncover the prevalence of antibodies to Japanese encephalitis virus and its nucelic acid in naturally infected pigs of Punjab by commercial indirect ELISA kit and Reverse Trancriptase-PCR (RT-PCR).

The aim of present study was to express the microneme 10 (MIC10) antigenic protein which is a circulating antigen following invasion by tachyzoites in hosts in the prokaryotic expression system and evaluated as a potential diagnostic marker by indirect ELISA using the infected and non infected sera samples from Swiss albino mice. Optimum working dilutions of the antigen, sera and the conjugate were determined by checker board titrations and the cut off value was generated as mean plus standard deviation of optical densities of negative sera by ELISA.

Present pilot study was the first attempt to estimate the prevalence of antibodies against Mycobacterium avium subspecies paratuberculosis (MAP) in the goat population of Odisha. A total of 22 serum samples were collected from goats in and around Bhubaneswar, Odisha and subjected to indirect ELISA by indigenous ELISA (i_ELISA) kit for the detection of antibodies against MAP in the Microbiology Laboratory, Animal Health Division, CIRG, Makhdoom. An apparent prevalence 68.19% (15/22) was recorded by i_ELISA where the S/P ratio of the positive control was considered to be 1(100%).

Present study aimed to screen commercial milk and milk products sold in the local markets of Bhubaneswar, Odisha for the presence of Mycobacterium avium subsp. paratuberculosis (MAP). A total of seventeen (17) samples comprising of commercial milk and milk products (curd, flavoured milk, lassi and milk powder) of leading commercial brands were purchased from the local markets in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.

Brucellosis is a zoonotic disease with epidemiological global effect. It has been found to affect the cattle industry worldwide and India is not an exception to it. The current sero survey was carried to illuminate the status of bovine brucellosis in an organised dairy farm from Nasik with past history of abortions. Total of 65 serum samples were collected from cattle and tested for the presence of brucella antibodies using Rose Bengal Plate Test (RBPT), Standard Tube Agglutination Test (STAT) and Indirect Enzyme Linked Immnuno-Sorbent assay (I-ELISA).

F-1 and LaSota strains of NDV were propagated in laboratory using 10-day old embryonated hen eggs via allantoic cavity route. One group of thirty chicks were infected with F-1strain and other with LaSota strain with 105 egg infective doses in 100 µl of virus via oral and ocular route. Sequential sera samples and tracheal samples at day 0, 3,7,14, 21 and 28 post infection were collected and titre of antibodies indicative of humoral immune response was determined by indirect ELISA.
