Jacobson radical

In this paper, we calculate the J radical and s J radical of the Leavitt path algebras with coefficients in a commutative semiring of some finite graphs. In particular, we calculate J radical and s J radical of the Leavitt path algebras with coefficients in a field of acyclic graphs, no-exit graphs and give applicable examples.

An element a of an associative ring R is said to be quasinilpotent if 1 − ax is invertible for every x ∈ R with xa = ax. Nilpotents and elements in the Jacobson radical of a ring are well-known examples of quasinilpotents. In this paper, properties and examples of quasinilpotents in a ring are provided, and the set of quasinilpotents is applied to characterize rings with some certain properties.

In this paper, we intend to study idempotents of the Green algebra (complexified Green ring) of any finite dimensional pointed rank one Hopf algebra of nilpotent type over the complex number field. We first determine all one dimensional representations of the quotient algebra of the Green algebra modulo its Jacobson radical.

Given a simplicial topologically non radical algebra A, we characterize its topological radical, radA. If furthermore A is advertive, then radA coincides with the Jacobson radical RadA. On the other hand, it is shown that every two-sided invertive simplicial topological Gelfand-Mazur algebra has a functional spectrum and for every topologically nonradical simplicial Gelfand-Mazur amits the set X(A), of all continuous multiplicative linear functionals, is not empty.

Many properties of two-sided algebras remain valid for one-sided algebras. Namely, any one sided Banach algebra is commutative modulo its Jacobson radical. In the case of normed algebras, the one-sidedness is not inherited by a sub-algebra, nor by the completion of a normed algebra.
