Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) is not a trend; it has become practice in various contexts of language teaching and learning. However, CALL practices these days do not isolate the use of computers from the internet and various educational software and applications. This paper is to explore student perceptions on Smartclass software (SCS) design and its impacts on learning in interpreting classes of English and Korean major students at a university in Vietnam.

Assessment can be considered as a key component for the improvement of the quality of language teaching and learning process. This study aims to investigate how teachers practice formative assessments (FA) in English for occupational purposes (EOP) classes and how they perceive it in promotingstudents’ learning, as well as challenges they faced. Data were collected through survey questionaires with sixty-one teachers and interviews with five teachers selected randomly.

This study investigates the application of task-based language (TBL) teaching and learning to teach grammar to 8th graders at Phuc Dien Secondary School. This study was conducted to determine how teachers at Phuc Dien Secondary School utilized TBL in their classes. It also tries to discover the attitudes of students towards applying TBL in teaching grammar and the effectiveness of using TBL to teach grammar compared with traditional methods.

The experience of English teaching, especially speaking class, comes from the actual classroom and that is not a good news for a new teacher, who does not have it but urgently needs to acquire the basic knowledge. This writing provides the reasons why the level of interesting acts as a crucial point in the succeeding of a class. Furthermore, some methods of teaching speaking are going to be viewed and discussed to strengthen the point of view that intrinsic motivation should be applied in the class.

The second aim of the study was to find out the correlation between students’ MI scores and their vocabulary learning strategy use. Before analyzing the correlation, it was found that Intrapersonal intelligence was the most dominant type among participants, while Mathematical Intelligence was the least used one.
