This thesis extends research on marketing communication and promotional mix strategies. Extant literature reveals that there is a dearth of academic research and literature on marketing communication, promotional mix, and IMC in Lao PDR HEIs. Promotional mix is defined as a form of marketing communication consisting of advertising, publicity, sales promotion, direct marketing, personal selling, events, and sponsorships. Promotional mix tools have been employed as a significant component of marketing communication strategies.

Four non-alkaloidal metabolites: Stemanthrene C, methyl ferulate, methyl 4-hydroxycinnamate and B-sitosterol were isolated from the roots of Stemona cochinchinensis plants which were collected in Savannakhet Province (Laos). Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic analyses. Stemanthrene C exhibited medium cytotoxic activity against the KB cell line with an IC50 value of 82.03 ug mL−1.

Results of the first investigation of the activity concentration of the surface soil samples collected at various locations of Thoulakhom district of Vientiane province of Laos People's Democratic Republic (PDR) are presented in this work. The activity concentration of the natural radionuclides 226Ra, 232Th and 40K in the soil samples were determined by gamma spectrometer using a highenergy resolution semiconductor detector HPGe.

Research compares the changes in agricultural exports of Lao PDR before and after joining the AEC.
