Results showed that increasing in rotational speed from 0 rpm to 200 rpm converted cellulose-producing cells to non-cellulose-producing ones, leading to a significant decline in BC film formation. The increase in initial inoculum size from 0.01 g/L to 0.1 g/L reduced sugar concentration and surface area of the medium, and therefore inhibiting the formation of film-like cellulosic biomass.

The quantitative production of protease, hyaluronidase and staphylokinase was significantly increased due to the sarA mutation. On the other hand, the quantitative production of lipase was significantly altered. Overall, our findings indicate that SarA is an effective global regulator of toxins production that can suggest new prospective therapeutics for the treatment of S. aureus infections.

In this study, extreme halophilic archean Natrialba asiatica was utilized as a new source for lipase production. Lipases from halophilic archaea are appealing for utilization in assorted industrial and biotechnological applications. The optimum temperature and pH of N. asiatica lipase in the crude mixture were 50 °C and 10, respectively. The growth conditions influencing lipase production were determined using a two-level fractional factorial Plackett–Burman design. Among the 9 factors screened, MgCl2 concentration, temperature, and shaking were found to be effective.

In this study, the kinetic resolution of (R,S)-2-pentanol via transesterification to achieve S-2-pentanol, a key intermediate required in the synthesis of anti-Alzheimer drugs, was investigated in continuous-flow packed-bed reactors. The effects of residence time, substrate concentration, and operation time of the enzyme were investigated. Under steady state conditions, 50% conversion and enantiomeric excess of the substrate (eeS )>99% were achieved at a residence time of 0.04 min. Productivity of the continuous-flow process (1.

As the enantiomers of 1-phenylethanol are valuable intermediates in several industries, the lipase catalyzed kinetic resolution of (R,S) -1-phenylethanol is a relevant research topic. In this study, the goal was to determine the optimum reaction parameters to produce enantiomerically pure 1-phenylethanol by lipase (Novozyme 435) catalyzed kinetic resolution using response surface methodology (RSM).

In this study, 341 Bacillus sp. strains were isolated from agricultural soils of Turkey. The potent extracellular lipase producer was selected. It was identified by 16S rRNA, named as Bacillus cereus ATA179. Optimal nutritional and physical parameters for lipase production were determined. Sucrose as the carbon source, (NH4 )2 HPO4 as the nitrogen source, CaCl2 as the metal ion were obtained. The best results of physical parameters were stated at 45°C, pH 7.0, shaking rate 50 rpm, inoculation amount 7% and inoculum age 24 h.

n reduced representation sequencing, representative portion of genome is sequenced. Modified reduced representation sequencing method, called double digest Restriction Associated DNA sequencing (ddRADseq) uses two restriction enzymes for skipping the random shearing step of RAD Sequencing. Gradually ddRADseq acquired important role in high density SNP discovery and genotyping, in model and non-model organisms with high efficiency and low cost.

Small-cell lung cancer (SCLC) is known to express antigens of both the neural crest and epithelium, and to secrete polypeptide hormones and enzymes. Anecdotal reports correlate lung cancer with marked hyperamylasemia, and a review of the literature reveals only one case of metastatic SCLC linked to high paraneoplastic lipase production.

Oil rich effluents are always a menance for many industries in the process of effluent treatment. The process usually requires more complex methods to resolve the issue to reach to disposable effluent standards. Enzymatic degradation was proved to be promising for the efficient treatment of oil rich effluents. Among the hydrolytic enzymes, lipases are the second most widely-used enzymes in industrial applications. A potential lipolytic fungus obtained from a marine soil sample exposed to oil spillage was identified as Aspergillus japonicus MF-1.

Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a major cause of nosocomial infections. Recently multidrug resistance and extended-spectrum ß-lactamase (ESBL)-producing P. aeruginosa isolates are emerging worldwide. These isolates are reported to be more virulent than the nonmultidrug resistance and non ESBL producing isolates. In order to find a correlation between ESBL production and virulence, we tested one virulence factor involved in pathogenicity- lipase production in ESBL and non ESBL producing isolates. A total of 100 samples were evaluated.

Polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) are the part of lipids produced from microorganisms, which have pulled in much consideration due to its beneficial consequences for human wellbeing. Polyunsaturated fatty acids have prompted the advancement of strategies for acquiring and controlling polyunsaturated lipids. Protein interceded responses have shown interesting points of interest over synthetic methodologies and business lipase. A few metabolites, for example, enzymes, carotinoids, and extracellular polysaccharides can likewise get from marine protists like Thraustochytrids.

The factors that affect transesterification such as temperature, time and molar ratio have been included. The study reveals that waste beef fat would be a suitable replacement of vegetable oils due to low cost, its role in protecting the environment, and beef tallow esters are close to ASTM D 6751 biodiesel standards. Research work needs to be carried out on heterogeneous catalysts and low-cost lipase catalysts to improve productivity.
