Bệnh tim mạch do xơ vữa động mạch (BTMXV) là nguyên nhân gây tử vong hàng đầu và người ta đã khẳng định tăng cholesterol của lipoprotein tỷ trọng thấp (LDL-C) là một yếu tố nguy cơ độc lập của xơ vữa động mạch. Gần đây, các bằng chứng ngày càng nhiều cho thấy tăng triglycerid (TG) máu có liên quan đến nguy cơ gia tăng BTMXV.

Lipoprotein lipase (LPL) plays a key role in lipid metabo-lism. Molecular modeling of dimeric LPL was carried out usingINSIGHT IIbased upon the crystal structures of human, porcine, and horse pancreatic lipase.
