This phenomenological inquiry explored women’s lived experiences with typhoons and landslides in the coastal and upland communities of Sagñay, Camarines Sur, Philippines. Data sources were transcripts of in-depth individual interviews and focus group discussions.

The study found that nematode composition differed significantly between the upper and deeper layers of sediment but not among the deeper layers. Nematode density showed spatial variability across layers, with higher values in the upper layer. Nematode diversity decreased with increasing depth. Non–selective deposit feeders (1B) were dominated in the surface layers, while the predator–omnivores feeders (2B) was numerous in the deeper layers

This study is conducted using qualitative research method to collect and analyse both primary and secondary data. Primary data was obtained through official documents and an in-depth interview with key informants among Malaysian households of the communities near Malaysia-Thailand border, local leaders and academicians. Meanwhile, the secondary source of data was obtained from published materials and online documents such as books, journal articles and reports.
