The purpose of the encapsulation of the research objectives into four stand-alone pieces was to enable specific aspects of the findings to be more readily accessed by future researchers and members of the teaching profession. Each piece corresponds to a research objective and reflects a research question. The research questions were formulated to tackle aspects of the research problem. The research outcomes could contribute to the growing body of knowledge about music activities delivered by classroom teachers.

This study explores the use of teacher reflective practice, teacher networking and teacher collaboration, beyond formal ICT training, through blog-based professional development of English teachers in the Mumbai region of India. Using data collected from 32 teachers in three private schools of Mumbai, through ICT interactive workshop observations, questionnaires, interviews and blog comments, the case study explains whether and why blogging, as a learning community, has potential to add significant value to existing professional development of English teachers in Mumbai.

The purpose of this study was to explore of the role of language switching in a group of Iranian bilingual students while they were involved in mathematical problem solving. Language switching has been viewed as a common practice in bilingual students in their classroom, particularly for mathematics learning. In bilingual students, using their first language to solve at least part of a problem may facilitate mathematical thinking and lead to a successful problem solving process.

Fashion design education does not have a very long history in Sri Lanka. But the institutes have completed considerable number of years to review their curriculum approaches to revise for future trends and demands. At present, so far locally qualified fashion designers are applying fashion design in many unique ways according to each individual’s need. This research will identify their experience and practices. In doing so, the research will assist to understand the current position of the fashion designer within Sri Lanka’s fashion industry system to address the key research questions.

This changing external environment is the context for this 'practitioner research' investigative project - the development of a motorsports program as a case study of innovation and entrepreneurship at Wodonga Institute of TAFE. A participant-observer research approach was applied to examine the perceptions of the stakeholders about the development of the program. Data was collected through semi-formal interviews with stakeholders, maintaining a reflective research journal and reviewing related literature.

In recent years, the Vietnamese government has produced a number of polices advocating the use of ICT in education, including blended learning, aligning this implementation with its goals to modernise. Master's thesis of Education: Implementation of project based learning in a training package context
The research was conducted retrospectively from a case study of an AQF Level 6 Textile, Clothing and Footwear Training Package Program at RMIT University TAFE. An Action Research approach underpins the investigation, resulting in the profiling of teaching, learning and assessment as areas in need of further examination. These defining themes are explored in the context of the Project Based Learning model developed at RMIT, with consideration given to the potential for broader application. The discussion concludes with a theoretical review of the new understandings of pedagogy.

This study explores the way in which Primary School Principals perceive and experience emotions in their day-to-day lives. To understand the varying elements of school leadership a qualitative research approach using semi-structured interviews was used, which was appropriate due to the social and psychological nature of the topic being studied. Two interviews were conducted a year apart with participants to provide a detailed examination of the participants’ experiences and to gain deeper insights into their perceptions of emotions in their work.

Many East Asian economies experienced rapid economic growth since the early 1960’s, with Singapore and Malaysia being two of the best performers. Various factors have contributed to this growth. They include export-orientated policies, capital investment, a market-friendly approach and an institutional regulatory framework that attracts foreign investors. Another factor is the role of human capital in the form of formal and informal education. Human capital has been researched at both the theoretical and empirical levels.

This study explored the gaps in the literature through a qualitative study with a small group of VET practitioners placed within the one TAFE site, who, between them, showed some variety within their background and practice. Seven VET teachers were interviewed regarding their current use of eLearning within their teaching practice; including current understandings and use of technology, what issues they experienced, and how they felt the use of e-Learning had impacted them and their learners, specifically in relation to learner engagement.
