In this paper, the continuous stiffness measurement (CSM) indentation is employed to investigate fatigue mechanical properties of structural steel under cyclic loading. For this purpose, several representative analytical approaches were introduced to estimate the basic mechanical properties including Young’s modulus and indentation hardness from the characteristics of the loading/unloading curves.

Blends of acrylonitrile butadiene rubber/high density polyethylene (NBR/HDPE) compatibilized by Chloroprene rubber (CR) were prepared. A fixed quantity of industrial waste such as marble waste (MW, 40 phr) was also included. The effect of the blend ratio and CR on cure characteristics, mechanical and swelling properties of MW-filled NBR/HDPE blends was investigated. The results showed that the MW-filled NBR/HDPE blends revealed an increase in tensile strength, tear, modulus, hardness and cross-link density for increasing weight ratio of HDPE.

In the present paper, we study some approximation properties of the Szasz type operators involving Charlier polynomials introduced by Varma and Tasdelen in 2012. First, we establish approximation in a Lipschitz type space and weighted approximation theorems for these operators.

Main properties of the mixed modulus of continuity in the Lebesgue spaces with Muckenhoupt weights are investigated. We use the mixed modulus of continuity to obtain Potapov type direct and inverse estimates of angular trigonometric approximation of functions in these spaces.

In the present paper we introduce the GBS (Generalized Boolean Sum) operators of Durrmeyer type based on q -integers and the approximation of B-continuous functions using the above operators is studied. In addition, a uniform convergence theorem is established and the degree of approximation in terms of mixed modulus of continuity is evaluated.

In the present paper, we introduce a new sequence of linear positive operators with the help of generating functions. We obtain some Korovkin type approximation properties for these operators and compute rates of convergence by means of the first and second order modulus of continuities and Peetre’s K-functional.
