On time detection of Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs) helps avoid the harmful effects to patients, and promptly prevent mishaps or disasters to our health care. To assist in monitoring the safety in the use of drugs for patients, and providing maximum data to the National Center for DI&ADR on the drug safety of Phase 4 (the drugs are widely used in the community), clinical pharmacists have monitored ADRs actively instead of waiting for clinical reports.

Those living with disadvantage suffer from higher rates of chronic conditions and multimorbidities. Little work has been done to investigate how this cohort experience patient-centred care and what their outcomes might be. This study showed that as a result of a short course of treatment clients experienced better levels of health and wellbeing and decreased levels of pain and disability. Interview data suggest that this may be due to a combination of therapy, setting and relationships formed within that setting.

Thalassemia is one of commonest hereditary disease worldwide, prevalent in humid climates and affects all races. The Transfusion Dependent Thalassemias require regular blood transfusion to survive. The thalassemia patients require lifelong blood transfusion on regular basis- usually administered every 2 to 5 weeks.
