A new microsporidian pathogen isolated from Crepidodera aurata was identified based on morphological and ultrastructural characteristics, coupled with a molecular phylogenetic analysis. The spores of the microsporidian pathogen were slightly curved in shape, and measured 2.44–3.55 µm in length and 1.25–1.55 µm in width (n = 50). Its ultrastructure is characteristic of monokaryotic groups. All lifecycle stages of the pathogen, including meronts, sporonts, sporoblasts, and mature spores, are monokaryotic. The spore has 6–8 windings of the polar filament.

The kinetics of the iron electrodeposition reaction from a plating bath containing trivalent iron ions is investigated in the present work. The electrochemical reaction is stated to proceed via the formation of relatively stable intermediates: Fe(II) ions. Only a part of the total amount of Fe(II) ions formed at the first stage of Fe(III) discharge is reduced further, producing metal iron. The effect of polyhexamethyleneguanidine hydrochloride (with an average molecular weight of 1000) on the iron deposition is ascertained.

The presence of boric acids, saccharin or 1,4-butynediol have increased cathode polarization, inhibited precipitation alloy and shifted discharge potential of Ni2+ about 100 to 150 mV towards more negative. The solution temperature strongly affected on the polarization curve over the full range of investigated electrode potential, the cathode current increased about 1.5 times when the temperature increases from 30 to 50 oC.

I present a study of spin vector orientations of 229,675zmagnitude SDSS (Sloan Digital Sky Survey) galaxies having red shift of 0.05 to 0.10. The z-magnitudes are observed through 913.3 nm CCD (charge coupled device) filter attached to SDSS telescope located at New Mexico, USA. We have converted two dimensional data to three dimensional by Godlowskian Transformation. Our aim is to find out non-random effects in the spatial orientation of galaxies. The expected isotropy distribution curves are obtained by removing the selection effects and performing a random simulation method.

Caffeine was isolated from dry green tea leaves and used as corrosion inhibitor. The aim of this paper is to study the corrosion inhibition behavior of caffeine with its different concentrations (from 0.01 g/L to 3.00 g/L) for CT3 steel in 1M HCl solution by the curve polarization measurements and surface examination studies. Experiment result showed that: as the concentration of caffeine increases, the inhibition efficiency increases; %IE max is approximately 83.27% at concentration of caffeine 3.00 g/L.

Influences of additives saccarin, thioure and natrilaurylsulphate on the electrodeposition process of the alloy FeCoNi were investigated using polarization curves and energy disperse spectroscopy (EDS). Results show that saccarin increases the anomalous ratio of the couples Fe/Ni (TFe/Ni) and Co/Ni (TCo/Ni) while thioure influences on TFe/Ni, TCo/Ni slightly and natrilaurylsulphate decreases TFe/Ni, TCo/Ni remarkably. The results can be explained by the different adsorption processes of the additives.

Corrosion inhibition of organic clay nanofil5 in NaCl 0.1 M solution was studied by polarization curves and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The clay concentrations studied were between 1 g/l and 5 g/l. The clay nanofil5 plays both anodic and cathodic corrosion inhibition. The corrosion inhibition of clay nanofil5 depends on the concentration. The results obtained by two methods were in good agreement and showed that the highest inhibition efficiency was obtained with the nanofil5 concentration of 3 g/l.
