Impedance measurement was used to quantify the amounts of PbSO4 and PbO in the initial stage of the oxidation. H3BO3 decreased the positive grid corrosion of all alloys, while impurities increased it. Although impurities increased the self-discharge during constant current discharge, H3BO3 was found to decrease it, except for the alloy containing the 3 impurities and the Cu-containing alloy. Under open-circuit conditions, H3 BO3 increased significantly the self-discharge rate, but impurities were found to suppress it.

The present study was planned to estimate occurrence of invasive Salmonella spp. in retail chicken supply chain of Mumbai and quantifying Salmonella at crucial stages of processing by the Most Probable Number (MPN) and confirmation by invA gene by PCR assay. A total of 18(n = 108) farm samples were found to be positive for Salmonella with prevalence of 16.66% and statistical significance was observed amongst different sources at farm (p=0.027).

A study was carried out in 2016-17 and 2017-18 growing seasons with 4 different “barley” cultivars viz., V1-BH 393, V2-BH 902, V3-BH 946 and V4-BH 885 sown under different growing environments, i.e., D1- 3 rd November; D2- 18th November; D3- 3 rd December and D4- 19th December. The correlations among growth, weather and agrometeorological parameters, yield and yield attributes, soil moisture and canopy temperature were investigated using correlation analysis during vegetative and reproductive phases of crop. Yield studies had positive association with growth parameters during both phases.

Iron and Zinc are the key ingredient in human nutrition, soil and crop management. Rice is the major dietary source for the population in India but it is deficient in iron and zinc. An effort was made to quantify the iron and zinc content in brown, white and cooked white rice and to study the effect of nucleotide variations in genes associated with zinc. 14 genotypes were selected and grown in field at UAS, GKVK in RCBD, during Kharif-2014. Quality parameter zinc in brown rice showed negative effect on yield.

Nitrogen has been associated to lettuce fresh weight accumulation. In this way, different bio stimulants formulations containing amino acids have been commercially offered although the yield increase has not been properly supported. Objectives: To evaluate serum thyroglobulin and anti-thyroglobulin concentration and its relation with some features of differentiated thyroid cancer patients. Subjects and methods: A crosssectional study was implemented on 168 differentiated thyroid cancer patients. All patients had been quantified serum thyroglobulin and anti- thyroglobulin by radioimmunoassay methods. Results: The mean serum thyroglobulin and anti- thyroglobulin concentration was 20.03 µg/L and 33.75 UI/mL, respectively.

This article raises questions that must be solved if psychol- ogists are to develop a science of positive psychology. First, how should psychology quantify positive mental health? At present, psychology has no metric except per-haps scores of greater than 85 on the DSM-1V's Axis V (Global Assessment of Functioning). If more reliable meth- ods or assessing the relative maturity of defenses can be developed, psychology may gain a means of quantifying the theoretical formula for positive mental health that Marie Jahoda (1959) offered to psychology 40 years ago.

Obwona (2000) estimated a trans log production function to determine technical efficiency differentials between small- and medium-scale tobacco farmers in Uganda using a stochastic frontier approach. The estimated efficiencies were explained by socioeconomic and demographic factors. We present a corpus-based study of methods that have been proposed in the linguistics literature for selecting the semantically unmarked term out of a pair of antonymous adjectives. Solutions to this problem are applicable to the more general task of selecting the positive term from the pair. Using automatically collected data, the accuracy and applicability of each method is quantified, and a statistical analysis of the significance of the results is performed.

Here the fractional differences were positive for all compounds.
