This research examines the effect of tourism on poverty alleviation in Vietnam using panel data from 63 provinces from 2010 to 2021. By employing various estimation methods such as Ordinary Least Squares (OLS), Fixed Effect (FE), Random Effect (RE), and Generalized Method of Moments (GMM), this study provides empirical evidence of the positive influence of tourism on poverty reduction in Vietnam.

Poverty and inequality are among the most discussed topics in Economics. This thesis aims to investigate the empirical relationship between financial inclusion, poverty and gender inequality. Using unique cross-country panel and survey data sets, three hypotheses are tested: (1) microfinance is an effective tool for poverty reduction; (2) women’s participation in microfinance contributes to improvements in gender equality; and (3) financial inclusion has a positive effect on household income in China.

The study surveyed 90 grapefruit farms in Phuc Ninh commune, Yen Son district, Tuyen Quang province and adopted a number of economic research methods to evaluate and analyze factors affecting the economic efficiency of grapefruit production. The results of the study show that grapefruit is a fruit tree with high economic value, a key crop, contributing to income growth, poverty reduction for people in Phuc Ninh commune.

Using panel data of 34 microfinance institutions in period of 5 years (2011-2015), this study is aimed to investigate the determinants of the Operational Self-Sustainability (OSS) of Vietnamese microfinance institutions. Therefore, to be more sustainable, MFIs should focus on its professionality and increase its equity.
