Bacterial rice leaf blight (BLB), caused by Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae (Xoo), has a massive impact on the quality and productivity of rice. This study aimed to evaluate herbal extracts in combination with nanosilver to control rice blight disease caused by Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae in rice.

The synthesized complexes were tested for the ability to stimulate growth and improve productivity for Thai cucumber. The study results showed that the complexes reduced the growth time of the plants and increased the yield by > 20%. Yields of cucumbers sprayed with rare earth tartrate complexes reached ~62 tons/ha and increased by 20% compared with control samples.

The study in this paper utilizes Vietnamese firm-level data to investigate the relationship between trade liberalization and the productivity performance of Vietnam’s manufacturing sector. The data covers the years 2007 to 2016 when substantial trade liberalization took place. The semi-parametric approach developed by Levinsohn and Petrin (2003) is used to control for simultaneity bias in the estimation of a production function and to obtain TFP estimates.

House of Risk Method is used to identify the most potential risk agents, while the fuzzy reasoning risk assessment model is used to determine the risk severity by risk agents. Based on the analysis, it is found that risk agent stock out of the product is the most potential risk agent in this industry. To reduce the impact, mitigation strategies are suggested for stock out product risk agents in warehouse are flexible supply base, safety stock, internal coordination, as well as create and control production schedules.

Model Predictive Control (MPC) refers to a class of algorithms that optimize the future behavior of the plant subject to operational constraints. The merits of the class algorithms include its ability to handle imposed hard constraints on the system and perform on-line optimization. This thesis investigates design and implementation of continuous time model predictive control using Laguerre polynomials and extends the design approaches proposed in to include intermittent predictive control, as well as to include the case of the nonlinear predictive control.

The purpose of this research is to model the factors affecting a production and inventory system that combines returns and remanufacturing, and to evaluate effective control strategies in order to improve the performance of the system. In this regard, the main steps adopted to conduct the modelling process initially involved an investigation of reverse logistics and closed loop supply modelling as reported in the literature. An investigation of previous models developed contributed to our research by increasing the knowledge required to conduct the modelling.

The RsMYB1 transcription factor (TF) controls the regulation of anthocyanin in radishes (Raphanus sativus), and its overexpression in tobacco and petunias strongly enhances anthocyanin production. However, there are no data on the involvement of RsMYB1 in the mechanisms underlying abiotic stress tolerance, despite strong sequence similarity with other MYBs that confer such tolerance.
