This is a qualitative collective case study that seeks to understand the phenomena of graffiti and its related subcultures. By employing Interpretivist techniques, the research attempts to raise questions about harm minimisation, zero tolerance and graffiti, as well as broaden the debate about these distinct policy approaches for local communities. The research setting encompasses the geographic area of the Knox municipality, situated in outer eastern Melbourne.

This Master's thesis aims to document the research process into the synthesis of 2D AlPO4 via a liquid metal synthesis pathway. The synthesised 2D AlPO4 will then undergo qualitative and structural analysis, after which it will be characterised via advanced techniques to determine piezoelectric characteristics, as well as the exploration of the ability of the synthesised material to absorb heavy metals.

A comparative study of thermodynamic and kinetic aspects of Cu(II) and Ni(II) binding at the N-terminal binding site of human and bovine serum albumins (HSA and BSA, respectively) and short peptide analogues was performed using potentiometry and spectroscopic techniques. It was found that while qualitative aspects of interaction (spectra and structures of complexes, order of reactions) could be reproduced, the quantitative parameters (stability and rate constants) could not.

Numerous gel-free proteomics techniques have been reported over the past few years, introducing a move from proteins to peptides as bits of informa-tion in qualitative and quantitative proteome studies. Many shotgun pro-teomics techniques randomly sample thousands of peptides in a qualitative and quantitative manner but overlook the vast majority of protein modifi-cations that are often crucial for proper protein structure and function.
