Hexavalent chromium, Cr(VI), is a highly toxic species, while trivalent chromium, Cr(III), is an essential trace element for humans and other organisms. In the present work, a simple, rapid, and efficient procedure for water treatment of Cr(VI) is described. Active carbon (AC) was chemically treated with HCl and NaOH for the formation of surface modified Acidic-AC and Basic-AC sorbents, respectively. In addition, AC sorbent was treated with HNO3 as an oxidizing agent and sodium sulfite as a reducing agent for the formation of Ox-AC and Rd-AC sorbents, respectively.

Two organic fluorophores, fluorescein (F) and rhodamine B (Rd), were entrapped in calcium phosphate nanoparticles. The as-obtained nanoparticles can be used for biological release applications. For this aim, calcium phosphate nanoparticles were synthesized using the precipitation method. Structural analysis of these nanoparticles was performed using XRD, FTIR, and Raman spectroscopy, confirming that the synthesized nanoparticles were hydroxyapatite. TEM and SEM analyses demonstrated that these nanoparticles had a size of 20 nm and a well-defined morphology. F and Rd (about 0.5 wt.

IgG4-related disease (IgG4-RD) is a systemic autoimmune disease that can affect multiple organs of the body. Pulmonary manifestations of IgG4-RD include pulmonary solid nodules, thickening of bronchovascular bundles, interstitial involvement, and ground glass opacities. Here we present a rare case of IgG4-RD with tracheobronchial nodules and review the relevant literature.

The status of nutrients-their depletion and build up in soil and crop productivity after twenty two years (1991-2012) of cotton mono-cropping were studied under continuous use of various inorganic fertilizers and organic manure in a Vertisol. Results showed that application of 100% RD of NPK (90:45:45 kg ha-1 ) +FYM @ 10 t ha-1 recorded highest seed cotton yield of 2181 kg ha-1 which was on par with 150% RD of NPK treated plot.

Trichoderma pseudokoningii was tested for its compatibility with 11 insecticides, 7 fungicides, 2 herbicides, 1 sticker cum spreader, 4 different inorganic fertilizers in in vitro by poinson food technique. All the pesticides were tested for their compatibility with T. pseudokoningii at two different concentrations i.e., recommended dose (RD) and half of the RD and four different were tested for inorganic fertilizer and organic sticker cum spreader.

Field experiments were conducted during the kharif seasons of 2015 and 2016 to evaluate the efficacy of the organically managed cropping system in improvement of soil health in NE hill region. Four combinations of two cropping systems (C), viz., rice-greengram (C1) and maize-greengram (C2) and two organic N management treatments (N), viz., 75 % RD through vermicompost (N1) and 100 % RD through vermicompost (N2) and two organic phosphorus management treatments (P) viz.

A field experiment was conducted at Main Experimental Station of Narendra Deva University of Agriculture & Technology, (Kumarganj), Ayodhya (U.P.) during Rabi season of 2016-17 to study the performance of barley varieties under various nitrogen levels in sodic soil. The trial was laid out in Split Plot Design. Nitrogen levels (60, 75 and 90 kg N ha-1 ) were kept in main-plots and varieties (RD-2907, RD-2552, NDB-1173 and RD-2794) in sub-plots with three replications on sodic soils having low organic carbon (0.38 g kg-1 ), available nitrogen (185.0 kg ha-1 ), phosphorus (15.

The effect of increasing levels of nitrogen on organic carbon and nutrient status under finger millet, maize and field bean, cultivated soil was studied in the experiment. Experiment was conducted at AICRPDA, under rainfed condition. Split plot design was used which consist of three levels of nitrogen viz., high (100% Recommended dose RD), medium (50% RD) and low (no application of nitrogen) as subplot and type of crop grown as finger millet, field bean and maize were grown as main plot under rainfed condition.

The relational development systems (RDS) metamodel embodies a newly recognized scientific paradigm that stands in contrast to the nature-nurture split. It suggests that the bidirectional relationship between an organism and its environment must be the central focus of scientific inquiry.

A field experiment was conducted during the year 2017-18 at Post Graduate Institute Farm, Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri. The experiment was laid out in Randomised block design with three replication and eleven treatments. The treatments comprised of T1: Absolute control, T2: only ZnSB, T3: GRDF(25:50 kg ha-1 N:P2O5 + FYM @ 5 t ha-1 ), T4 to T7 were GRDF + 100%, 75%, 50% and 25% RD of Zn through ZnSO4+ ZnSB and T8 to T11 were GRDF + 100 %, 75%, 50% and 25% RD of Zn through ZnO + ZnSB.

At the same time, high tech professionals often perceive work as a “serious game” (Strannegård & Friberg, 2001), and not drudgery: they involve in playful behaviors at work (Hunter, Jemielniak, & Postuła, 2010). Software engineers often participate in non-paid, open collaboration production (Lakhani & Von Hippel, 2003). Modes of collaboration established in virtual and high-tech communities are similarly transforming workplace relations in the brick-and-mortar organizations (Benkler, 2006).
