Silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) were synthesized and characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), and absorption spectroscopy. Using Debye-Scherrer’s formula and the result of the XRD spectrum, the size of the Ag NPs was estimated at approximately 8 nm.

In this paper, ZnO/CuO/Ag ternary composites were successfully synthesized by hydrothermal method using Zn(NO3)2.6H2O, Cu(NO3)2.3H2O and AgNO3. The composite samples were characterized using X-Ray diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Raman spectroscopy.

Silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) with a size of around 9 nm were fabricated and quantified through fluorescence quenching of rhodamine B (RhB). A series of solutions composed of RhB with various concentrations of Ag NPs ranging from 0.09 pM to 0.98 pM were prepared, and optical properties were investigated by absorption and fluorescence spectroscopies.

BiFeO3 (BFO) was synthesized using a combustion sol-gel method from reactants of Bi(NO3)3.5H2O and Fe(NO3)3.9H2O with various complexation reagents. The absorbance and photocatalytic activity of BFO on Methylene Blue (MB) decomposition were studied using infrared (IR) and UV-Vis spectroscopy.

In this study, spinel ferrite nanoparticles CoFe2-xLaxO4 (x = 0, 0.025, and 0.05) were successfully synthesized via a simple co-precipitation method using a 5% NaOH solution as a precipitating agent. The physicochemical properties of the materials, annealed at 850 °C for one hour, were characterized using powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and vibrating-sample magnetometry (VSM) at room temperature.

The aim of this study was to design and characterize a NdFeO3-based photocatalyst prepared by sol-gel method for treatment of oily wastewater.
