This study focuses on the stability of nano-emulsions produced by phase inversion temperature method using n-Decane and n-Dodecane as the dispersed phase and pure water/brine as the aqueous phase (continuous phase). A non-ionic surfactant (Brij 30) was used in the preparation of the nano-emulsions. Three different types salt namely \(NaCl\), \(KCl\) and \(MgC{l_2}\) were used at different concentrations.

The focus of this study is to investigate its optical and conductive properties under different conditions of doping environments, temperature and polymerization conditions. Optical characterization technique such as UV-Visible spectroscopy is developed to carry out the investigation. The developed nanofibers have been demonstrated to possess optical and conductive properties to be dependent on doping variables. Study of these optical properties could prove very useful in the development of electrochromic devices and gas sensors.

The study will provide a detailed examination on the views of the finance officers and council policies on IA and depreciation information for decision-making by internal and external users. This is an important area because the preparers of GPFRs have a significant influence on the information used for both internal and external purposes. Conclusions on the consequences of current practices and recommendations for change will be developed to assist local authorities and enhance information to be included in council policies (for example accrual budgets and rating estimates) and GPFRs.

Polypropylene/ maleic anhydride /organic montmorillonite nanocomposites (PP/ MA/ Org-MMT) have been prepared via direct melt intercalation in an internal mixer. Maleic anhydride (MA) was used as a compatibilizer to improve the dispersability of the clay. The superabsorbent polymers based on acrylic acid have been prepared in the presence of ammonium persulfate (APS) as initiator and N,N-methylene- bis- acrylamide (MBA) as crosslinking agent. The blends based on polyvinyl chloride (PVC), nitrile-butadiene rubber (NBR), natural rubber (NR) and polyethylene (PE) were made by three different methods. The mechanical properties of these blends in dependence of mixing time and temperature were characterized. The result showed that the two-step blending method, where PVC and NBR were first mixed together and then blended with NR and PE, is the best one to prepare blends with high mechanical properties.
