In this study, quaternary Ag2 MnSnS4 nanocrystalline rods have been successfully synthesized for the first time by the colloidal hot-injection synthesis route and well-organized rod-like nanocrystals (NCs) with lengths ranging from 200 to 350 nm and widths from 10 to 30 nm were obtained. For this structure, the Ag2 MnSnS4 exhibits a semiconductor property with a band-gap of approximately 1.3 eV.

For the first time, a taste modifying miraculin was successfully expressed in tobacco hairy root. The results in this study have given a promising approach for the application of the transgenic hairy root system to produce recombinant miraculin.

Three white female rats age approximately one year were presented with history of gradually increased swelling on thoracic region on left side and right side while other rat had mass on right side of neck. On the basis of history, clinical and ultrasonographic examinations diagnosed as a tumour and treated surgically under general anaesthesia. The histopathological examinations revealed fibroedinoma of mammary gland in two rats and a fibroma. All rats were recovered well without any complications.

An 18 month old cross bred heifer was brought to Veterinary Teaching Clinical Complex showing estrus behavior with congenitally fused vulvular labia. Two small opening of approximately 8mm and 2mm in diameter were observed at the dorsal and ventral commissure of vulva respectively. Surgical correction of the vulva with subsequent artificial insemination of the heifer was successfully accomplished.

A male Dog, breed German Shepherd age 3yrs approximate was presented with the history of anorexia, weight loss, muscular weakness, depression, polydipsia, polyuria and bilateral peripheral lymphadenopathy at the hospital. The blood picture of the animal showed normal blood counts as well as normal LFT and KFT. The present study was carried out to know the sap transmission nature of sunflower necrosis virus and detection by serological and molecular means. The disease was successfully transmitted through mechanical sap using 0.05 M potassium phosphate buffer. A maximum transmission of 52.33 per cent on cultivar KBSH-44, 51.33 per cent on KBSH-1, and 48.33 per cent on Morden. Under artificial inoculation, the newly emerged leaves showed slight downward curling, puckering and chlorosis followed by necrosis.

In this paper, we introduce a hedge-algebras-based methodology in vibration control of structural systems to design fuzzy controllers, referred to as hedge-algebras-based controllers (HACs). In this methodology, vague linguistic terms are not expressed by fuzzy sets, but by inherent order relationships between vague terms existing in a term-domain. Semantically quantifying mappings (SQMs), which preserve semantics-based order relationships in termdomains, are defined in a close relationship with the fuzziness measure and the fuzziness intervals of vague terms.

Lung cancer is one of the quickest and most fatal diseases and is divided into two types: small cell lung cancer (SCLC) and non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Approximately 50% of NSCLC patients harbour mutations in the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) gene, spanning from exon 18 to exon 21, which are responsible for the tyrosine kinase domain of the EGFR protein.
