When the sizes of end-user equipments are limited, the cooperative relay networks are recommended as promising virtual MIMO systems to improve the performance of wireless communication systems in literature. In this paper, we focus on performance analysis of twohop relay wireless networks using Decode-and-Forward (DF) scheme.

In this paper, we analyze performance of the Full Duplex (FD) Decode-and-Forward relay network using Spatial Modulation (SM) technique, called SM-FD relay network, in the presence of Residual Self-Interference (RSI) due to imperfect Self-Interference Cancellation (SIC). Based on mathematical calculation, the exact expressions of Outage Probability (OP), Symbol Error Probability (SEP) and Ergodic Capacity of the SM-FD relay network is derived over Rayleigh fading channel

We present a new method for calculating the probability of error per symbol (Symbol Error Probability, SEP) of M-ary Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (MQAM) over a slow, flat, identically independently distributed Rician fading channels. Since fading is one of the major constraints in wireless communications, the diversity modulation technique is used for the efficient transfer of message signals.

Evaluating the average probability of symbol error for different bandpass modulation schemes Comparing different modulation schemes based on their error performances. Channel coding: Transforming signals to improve communications performance by increasing the robustness against channel impairments (noise, interference, fading, ..) Waveform coding: Transforming waveforms to better waveforms Structured sequences: Transforming data sequences into better sequences, having structured redundancy. “Better” in the sense of making the decision process less subject to errors....

This chapter presents novel turbo equalization scheme, a which employs a RBF equaliser instead of the conventional trellis-based equaliserDouillard et al. [ 1.531. The basic principles of of turbo equalization will be highlighted. Structural, computational cost and performance comparisons of the RBF-based and trellis-based turbo equalisers areprovided. A novel element of our design isthat in order to reduce the computational complexity the RBF turbo of equaliser (TEQ), we propose invoking further iterations only, if the decoded symbol has a high error probability.
