  • The result indicates that in the case of electron-acoustic phonon scattering, the Shubnikov-de Hass oscillation appears. Whereas, in the case of electrons-optical phonons scattering, the peak of magneto-photonphonon resonance appears. In both cases, when temperature increases, the Nernst coefficient decreases rapidly, and for electrons-optical phonons scattering, the resonance peak has a movement.

  • The pressure effect on the thermopower has been investigated for the Bi1.8Sb0.2Te3.0 alloys. We have found an anisotropic pressure dependence on the thermopower for p- and n-type Bi1.8Sb0.2Te3.0 at room temperature. Along a-axis, for p-type, the thermopower value increased with increase of pressure at a rate of 13.9 %/Gpa, whereas, along c-axis, itkeeps approximately constant..

  • In conventional partial resection of parenchymatous organs significant bleeding is one of the main problems, especially in neonates and infants. The patients rapidly lose considerable amounts of their small blood volume. Laser light leads to photo thermal effects in tissue and causes coagulation, drying up, carbonization and evaporization, depending on the temperature.

  • In the paper "Thermal buckling of P-FGM sandwich beam with porous core on elastic foundation", a coupled effect of thermal and electrical loadings on the thermal buckling behavior of functionally graded material (FGM) sandwich beam resting on Pasternak foundation is investigated. The symmetric multi-layered beam consists of a foam core, two middle FGM layers, and two outer piezoelectric layers. It is assumed that the beam is subjected to a constant voltage and a uniform/linear temperature rise.

  • The study results show inter-relationships and transformations of the three indicators in the research context, where urban land temperature and Urban Heat Island (UHI) are raised by built-up areas and in contrast, reduced by vegetated areas. As a result, urban green space would be a driver to mitigate the harmful impact of the "heat island" effect in urban areas. Aim to strengthen concentrated green areas and vegetation in land areas that are less favorable for construction.

  • The microdynamic mechanism of the phenomenon, which the static permittivity of sodium chloride aqueous solution with concentration of 2.8 mol/L holds constant with the change of temperature, is clarified. The equilibrium compensation between the decrement of the permittivity part due to the water molecular polarization and the increase of that originated from the ionic polarization as increasing temperature is responsible for this phenomenon. The dipole moment reduction of water molecules as rising temperature is also confirmed by the model.

  • The derived temperature dependences of the peak intensities, separations and half-widths of the separate spectral peaks in the A-band phonon progressions indicate the different trends for vibration-free zero-phonon electronic transition and vibration-related lower-energy electronic transitions to high vibrational levels of the ground electronic state – lower thermal damping and more softened phonon for the zero-phonon transition, also implying the extended defect origin of the A-band photoluminescence.

  • In this work, TiO2-doped carbon aerogel (TiO2/CA) was synthesized from sugarcane bagasse hydrothermal, freezedrying, and carbonization methods. The effects of the calcination temperatures of 400, 500, 600, 700, and 800 oC were also evaluated. The obtained TiO2/CA exhibits an ultralow density (0.021-0.032 g/cm3 ) and porosity of more than 97 %. The asprepared TiO2/CA was applied in photodegradation of methylene blue (MB) with the effects of dose sample and pH were also investigated.
