Knowledge of heat flow density on the Earth’s surface and subsurface temperature distribution is essential for the interpretation of several processes in the crust such as for the evaluation of the geothermal potential of a region. With this study, we investigate the conductive heat flow distribution in western Anatolia to understand the thermal state and its relationship to regional tectonics in the region. The new heat flow data are collected and combined with previously published data to obtain the new heat flow map of western Anatolia.

A 560m2 naturally ventilated greenhouse (Fig. 1) was constructed at the research farm of Department of Soil and Water Engineering, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana. A similar greenhouse was also constructed at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Faridkot. Capsicum was cropped during the studying period at both experimental areas in different period of time. Temperature inside the greenhouse at various places was recorded on hourly basis from 0700 hours to 1800.

The detection of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) is essential in practical application in breath analysis. Thus, gas sensors based on metal oxide have been fabricated, but they lacked selectivity. One approach to resolve this task is to use an array of highly sensitive and selective sensors as an electronic nose. In particular, when HPCOBLED is of high power, the decrease of luminous flux is larger. An explanation for this result is consumed power on the LED. We proposed HPCOBLED model modified from Hodapp’s model using temperature gradient between p-n junction of device and heat radiator for description of the temperature effect on luminous flux of HPCOBLED. The calculation results for the modified HPCOBLED model match with those experimental values measured by the luminous flux measurement system (VMI-PR-001, Vietnam).

Heat transport limitation in larger tissue may also affect survival. Due to the macroscopic size of tissue-engineered products and its finite thermal conductivity, there may be large thermal gradients from the surface to the interior of the samples. The presence of a thermal gradient during cooling and warming phases makes it difficult to choose optimal temperature change protocols for both surface and interior cells. Moreover, osmotic effects (water movement from inside-unfrozen cells to outside-frozen cells) during cooling, reduces cell survival.
