Circular RNA (circRNAs) have been found to play major roles in the progression of colorectal cancer (CRC). However, the functions of circ_0008345 (transcribed by PTK2) in regulating CRC development remain undefined. In this study, we aimed to explore the roles and underlying mechanisms of circ_0008345 in CRC.

This book is for people who want to get acquainted with the concepts of basic trigonometry without taking a formal course. It can serve as a supple- mental text in a classroom, tutored, or home-schooling environment. It should also be useful for career changers who need to refresh their knowledge of the subject. This is not a rigorous course in theoretical trigonometry. Such a course defines postulates (or axioms) and provides deductive proofs of statements called theorems by applying mathematical logic. Proofs are generally omitted in this book for the sake of simplicity and clarity.

In ebook "Single-molecule fluorescence spectroscopy of the folding of a repeat protein" single-molecule fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) spectroscopy was used to study the folding of a protein that belongs to the large and important family of repeat proteins. Cohen shows that the dynamics of the expanded conformations is likely to be very fast, suggesting a spring-like motion of the whole chain. The findings shed new light on the elasticity of structure in repeat proteins, which is related to their function in binding multiple and disparate partners.

Currently, circRNA studies are shifting from the identification of circular transcripts to understanding their biological functions. However, such endeavors have been limited by large-scale determination of their full-length sequences and also by the inability of accurate quantification at the isoform level.

Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are 3′–5′ covalently closed RNA rings produced from back-splicing of precursor mRNA in eukaryotes. Recent studies, using both computational and experimental approaches, have allowed advanced characterization of circRNAs, leading the research field into a new era and shedding light on the contribution of circRNAs to disease.

This article presents preliminary propositions concerning implications for the development of what we term 'circular supply chains', defined here as the embodiment of circular economy principles within supply chain management. The economic system in the process of functioning generates positive and negative externalities. Currently, there are exacerbating problems associated with the need to minimize negative externalities, which pose global risks to the global economic system

Researchers have been exploring the molecular mechanisms underlying the control of periodontal ligament stem cell (PDLSC) osteogenic differentiation. Recently, long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) and circular RNAs (circRNAs) were shown to function as competitive endogenous RNAs (ceRNAs) to regulate the effect of microRNAs (miRNAs) on their target genes during cell differentiation.

Apoptosis is a vital cellular process that is critical for the maintenance of homeostasis in health and disease. The derailment of apoptotic mechanisms has severe consequences such as abnormal development, cancer, and neurodegenerative diseases. Thus, there exist complex regulatory mechanisms in eukaryotes to preserve the balance between cell growth and cell death. Initially, proteincoding genes were prioritized in the search for such regulatory macromolecules involved in the regulation of apoptosis.

Circular RNAs are a class of endogenous RNAs with various functions in eukaryotic cells. Worthy of note, circular RNAs play a critical role in cancer. Currently, nothing is known about their role in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). The identification of circular RNAs in HNSCC might become useful for diagnostic and therapeutic strategies in HNSCC.

Existing circular RNA (circRNA) databases have become essential for transcriptomics. However, most are unsuitable for mining in-depth information for candidate circRNA prioritization. To address this, we integrate circular transcript collections to develop the circAtlas database based on 1070 RNA-seq samples collected from 19 normal tissues across six vertebrate species.

Direct coupling between ferrocenelithium and 3(2),8(7)-dibromo-2(3),7(8),12(13),17(18)-tetra-tert-butyl-5,10,15,20-tetraazaporphyrin resulted in a debromination reaction accompanied by very minor dimerization of the tetraazaporphyrin core, which was explained based on the steric properties of the parent tetraazaporphyrin. The target compounds were characterized using APCI mass spectrometry, UV-vis, and MCD spectroscopy, while the electronic structure of ferrocenylethyl-containing products was predicted by DFT approach.

The immobilization method and atomic concentrations of Si 2p, Au 4f, S 2p, C 1s, N 1s, and O 1s of the resulting SA–biotin modified Si surface were determined by XPS. The CD spectrum and confocal microscopy imaging confirmed that step-by-step modification and bioconjugation can be monitored successfully. Such detailed and well-defined step-by-step characterization provides good information about the surface properties of biosensor platforms. In addition, the LSPR sensing ability of the Au Np based platforms was studied by using a model SA–biotin system.

Using this system, cheap cultivation media instead of the commonly used complex and expensive cultivation media, can be utilized in the production of these bacteriocins thereby significantly lowering the production cost – one of the major limiting factors for its large-scale application. Additionally, this system provides a robust control of bacteriocin production thereby creating an effective bacteriocin application delivery system.

Non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is the commonest type of lung cancer, which is one of most deadly cancers that possess high morbidity and mortality all over the world. The function of circular RNA NIMA related kinase 6 (circ_NEK6) in NSCLC is still unknown. Therefore, circ_NEK6 is worth studying in detail.
