Herein we reported a method for copper pivalate mediated, directed functionalization of ortho C−H bonds in (2- methylthio)aniline benzamides. Diaryl disulfides were used for thiolation, while successful phenoxylation was obtained with phenol as the coupling agent. Our report marks a rare example for flexible transformation of benzamide C(sp2 )−H bonds into the corresponding unsymmetrical diaryl ethers and thioethers.

The geometries and relative stabilities of 15 tautomeric forms and the corresponding isomers of the studied molecules have been identified and their relative stabilities are investigated. The potential energy profiles and intrinsic reaction coordinates (IRC) calculations along the proton transfer coordinates both in the ground and in the excited state are monitored as well. The impact of the donating (OMe) and withdrawing (NO2) groups on the single and double proton transfers are investigated both in the gas phase and solution.

The functional integral method can be used in quantum mechanics to find the scattering amplitude for particles in the external field. We obtained the potential scattering amplitude from the complete Green function in the corresponding external field through solving the Schrodinger equation, after being separated from the poles on the mass shell, which takes the form of an eikonal (Glauber) representation in the high energy region and the small scattering angles.

In this paper, a novel functional monomer, N-(pyrrolidin-2-ylmethyl) methacrylamide (PMMA), was synthesized. We hereby report a new method for preparation of 3,4-dihydroquinolin-2(2H) -one starting from the methyl 2-(2-carboxyethyl)benzoic acid. The acid functionality, adjacent to the methylene, was regiospecifically converted to the desired methyl ester and the remaining acid functionality was transferred into acyl azide. Curtius rearrangement of acyl azide followed by trapping with aniline and alcohols provided the corresponding urea and urethane derivatives.
