In this study, we suggested an FSO system with RIS assistance to mitigate the effects of signal blockage in the communication system, atmospheric turbulence, and UAV’s misalignment-induced fading. In a free-space environment with obstacles, the probability density function and cumulative distribution functions of an FSO system made up of RIS are derived.

Gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) are the most common mesenchymal tumors of the digestive tract. Acquired functional mutations in the tyrosine-protein kinase growth factor receptor proto-oncogene (KIT) and platelet-derived growth factor-alpha gene lead to increased tyrosine kinase activity, which is considered a key factor in the pathogenesis of GIST.

If you want to improve your understanding of calculus, then this book is for you. It can supplement standard texts at the high-school senior, trade-school, and college undergraduate levels. It can also serve as a self-teaching or home-schooling supplement. Prerequisites include intermediate algebra, geometry, and trigonometry. It will help if you’ve had some precalculus (sometimes called “analysis”) as well. This book contains three major sections. Part 1 involves differentiation in one variable. Part 2 is devoted to integration in one variable.

This book contains a collection of general mathematical results, formulas, and integrals that occur throughout applications of mathematics. Many of the entries are based on the updated fifth edition of Gradshteyn and Ryzhik’s ”Tables of Integrals, Series, and Products,” though during the preparation of the book, results were also taken from various other reference works.

In this paper, the free vibration of a bi-directional functionally graded (2D-FG) nanobeams is investigated by the finite element method. Nanobeams are made of two kinds of porous materials. The material properties of 2D-FG nanobeams are assumed to vary in both axial and thickness directions according to a power law . Based on Eringen's nonlocal elasticity theory, the governing equations of motion are derived.

In this paper, geometrical nonlinear flutter analysis of functionally graded carbon nanotubes reinforced composite plates is presented. The governing equations of the system are obtained using the Mindlin plate theory and von Karman geometric nonlinearity. The linear piston theory is utilized to determine the aerodynamic pressure. Applying the Hamilton principle, equations of motion of a system are derived in the matrix form, and then the finite element method is used to obtain the discretized equations.

In the paper "Nonlinear static analysis of bidirectional functionally graded sandwich plates using a higher-order finite element formulation" the nonlinear static behaviors of bidirectional functionally graded sandwich (BFGSW) plates are investigated using a finite element procedure. The plates consist of three layers, a homogeneous core and two bidirectional functionally graded face sheets. A nonlinear finite element formulation in sense of the von Karman nonlinear strain-displacement relation is derived in the basis of a higher-order shear deformation theory.

The paper "Dynamic analysis of stiffened functionally graded composite plates reinforced by carbon nanotubes under blast loading" presents a study of the geometrical nonlinear dynamic of stiffened functionally graded composite plates reinforced by carbon nanotubes (SFG-CNTRC) subjected to blast loading. The governing equations of the system are obtained using the Mindlin plate theory and von Karman geometric nonlinearity.

In the present report, a novel concept of frequency response function (FRF) is introduced for piezoelectric beam. First, a model of Timoshenko beam bonded with a piezoelectric layer is established and used for deriving the conventional frequency response function acknowledged as mechanical frequency response function (MERF). Then, the output charge produced in the piezoelectric layer is calculated from the MFRF and therefore obtained frequency-dependent function is called electrical frequency response function (EFRF) for the integrated beam.

The geometries and relative stabilities of 15 tautomeric forms and the corresponding isomers of the studied molecules have been identified and their relative stabilities are investigated. The potential energy profiles and intrinsic reaction coordinates (IRC) calculations along the proton transfer coordinates both in the ground and in the excited state are monitored as well. The impact of the donating (OMe) and withdrawing (NO2) groups on the single and double proton transfers are investigated both in the gas phase and solution.

In this paper, we consider a boundary value problem for a fully fourth-order nonlinear functional differential equation which contains all lower derivatives of proportional delay arguments. By the reduction of the problem to operator equation for the right-hand side nonlinear function, we establish the existence and uniqueness of the solution and construct iterative methods on both continuous and discrete levels for solving it.

This paper concerns a problem of finite-time stability for a class of linear singular large-scale systems with delays. Based on matrix transformations, Lyapunov function method combined with new estimation techniques, we derive sufficient conditions for solving the finite-time stability of the system. A numerical example is given to illustrate the validity and effectiveness of the theoretical results.

Genome-wide association studies (GWAS) have identified several hundred susceptibility loci for type 2 diabetes (T2D). One critical, but unresolved, issue concerns the extent to which the mechanisms through which these diverse signals influencing T2D predisposition converge on a limited set of biological processes.

Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are 3′–5′ covalently closed RNA rings produced from back-splicing of precursor mRNA in eukaryotes. Recent studies, using both computational and experimental approaches, have allowed advanced characterization of circRNAs, leading the research field into a new era and shedding light on the contribution of circRNAs to disease.
