In this study, an evaluation of the enantioselective of a chiral flavanone with 2'-OH substitution (5,7,2'- trihydroxyflavanone) on ring C was studied by high performance liquid chromatography using the cellulose tris(3,5- dimethylphenyl carbamate)-based stationary phase with n-hexane and iso-propanol doped with 0.1% (v/v) trifluoroacetic acid as a mobile phase.

In this study, we substitute facial Alq3 with (-Mg) in positions 7 and 5 as electron donating group (EDG) and (-Cl), (-P) and (-S) in position 7 as electron withdrawing groups (EWD). The ground and the first excited states geometries of facial Alq3 and their derivatives are optimized using B3lyp/6-31G (d) methods.

In this study, we successfully synthesized europium-doped TiO2 (TiO2 :Eu3+) nanomaterials (NMs) with crystalline sizes ranging from 6.5 to 71.7 nm through a sol-gel method. Analysis of X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns and ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis) spectra indicates that the substitution of smaller-sized Ti4+ ions (0.745 Å) by largersized Eu3+ ions (0.947 Å) was more efficient at higher doping concentrations and annealing temperatures.

In this paper, we have prepared peripherally tetra-({6-[3-(diethylamino)phenoxy]hexyl}oxy substituted cobalt(II), copper(II), manganese(III) phthalocyanines (3, 4, 5) and their water-soluble derivatives (3a, 4a, 5a). Then, in vitro α-glucosidase and cholinesterases inhibitory actions of the water-soluble 3a, 4a, 5a were examined using spectrophotometric methods. 4a had the highest inhibitory effects among the tested compounds against α-glucosidase due to IC50 values. 4a and 5a had 40 fold higher inhibitory effects than the positive control.

The synthesis of natural products 2-(2,3-dibromo-4,5-dihydroxyphenyl)acetic acid (1) and 2-(2,6-dibromo-3,5- dihydroxyphenyl)acetic acid (2) and as well as their derivatives 25 and 26 were carried out by substitution, hydrolysis and demethylation reactions of the corresponding four benzyl bromides. New ligand based on p-tertbutyltetrathiacalix[4]arene blocked in 1,3-alternate conformation, was achieved via a multistep synthesis with the introduction of thiomethylpropoxy groups on the lower rim which leads to a neutral tecton. The combination of this p-tertbutyltetrathiacalix[4]arene (p-TCA-2), in 1, 3-alternate imposed conformation, with tetrahedral Ag(I)SbF6 salt, leads to the formation of neutral, new 2-D coordination network, which was structurally investigated in the solid state by X-ray diffraction methods on a single crystal.

Energy storage by supercapacitors with short charging time and high power density is one of the types of electrochemical storage systems. Perovskite oxides have been significantly investigated as promising materials for energy storage in electrochemical systems.
