This study presents the results of the thermal performance of two different zeolites in heat absorption and heat release investigated under multiple heating-cooling cycles. The specific focus is highlighting the influence of zeolitic structure in comparison to the raw kaolin as their precursor to evaluate the role of porous materials.

The microstructure of the LFC was also examined using the scanning electron microscopy (SEM) technique. The objective of this study is to investigate the hotspot (fires and other thermal anomalies) detection and characterization product from the TET-1 satellite sensing system from the German Aerospace Centre (DLR). The satellite is envisioned, as part of a constellation of satellites, to provide detection and characterization of fires at a higher spatial resolution when compared to the current standard global coverage from the MODIS fire products.

Knowledge of heat flow density on the Earth’s surface and subsurface temperature distribution is essential for the interpretation of several processes in the crust such as for the evaluation of the geothermal potential of a region. With this study, we investigate the conductive heat flow distribution in western Anatolia to understand the thermal state and its relationship to regional tectonics in the region. The new heat flow data are collected and combined with previously published data to obtain the new heat flow map of western Anatolia.

In this work, in the framework of density functional theory, we study the electronic thermal conductivity of the compound by employing the solution of Boltzmann Transport Equation in a constant relaxationtime approximation. The results show that the electronic thermal conductivity drastically increases with the increase of temperature and carrier concentration which have a detrimental effect on the thermoelectric performance.

The thermophysical properties of graphene nanofluids in thermosyphon have been studied at different power inputs, temperatures and angles of inclination. The thermal conductivity of the graphene nanofluid is found to be 29% higher than that of the deionized water at 45 0C.

For this purpose, a simplified thermal-hydraulic analysis was performed in order to evaluate the effects on fuel thermal conductivity of adding erbia to uranium oxide. The results obtained allow to conclude that an Er-doped assembly enriched to >5 wt.% in 235U represents an advantageous solution for very long fuel cycles, and it is so suited for very high burnups.

The complexes of some rare earths with DL-2-amino-n-butyric acid were synthesized. The solid complexes have the general formula [Ln(Hbu)4]Cl3 [Ln: Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd and Hbu: CH3CH2CHNH2COOH]. The structure of the complexes have been recognised by the basic of elemental analysis, conductivity measurements, IR spectra and thermal analysis methods. It was found that the DL-2-amino-n-buryic acid utilized amino nitrogen and carboxyl oxygen for bonding.
