This paper proposes a mixed-integer linear programming (MILP) model aiming to optimize the topology of transmission networks considering power loss. The proposed MILP model is converted from the MINLP model using the piecewise linearization technique and precisely linearizing the product of the binary and continuous variables. The objective function of the TNEP problem in this study is to minimize the total cost of the power system, including the investment cost for new transmission lines, maintenance cost, cost related to energy losses loss, and production cost of generators.

Guava fruits of cv. Lalit were treated with salicylic acid (SA) and 5-sulfosalicylic acid (SSA) at 1 mM and 2 mM concentration and stored at 10oC for 12 days. After storage, fruits were transferred to ambient conditions (20±2oC) for 3 days shelf life stimulation period and then observations were recorded up to 12+3 days. Results revealed that fruits treated with SA or SSA at 2 mM concentration showed minimum weight loss and colour change but maintained maximum firmness, total phenolics and ascorbic acid content.

The study of biodiversity associated with agro ecosystem is of significance for agro ecologist and conservation biologist, since the maintenance of biological diversity is essential for productive and ecologically sustainable agriculture. Field experiment was conducted to inventorize the insect fauna in pigeon pea ecosystem from February 2015 to July 2015. A total of 77 different species of insects belonging to 45 families under 10 orders were collected. Of the 77 species recorded, 53 species were harmful and 24 were beneficial.

The main goal is to identify the optimal production uptime and the production reorder point that ultimately minimize the expected value of total cost consisting of machine setup, deterioration, inventory holding, shortage and corrective maintenance cost.

The study was conducted in Thoubal district of Manipur state with the overall objectives of the cost and return analysis, resource use efficiency, marketing efficiency and its problems during production and marketing. The research is based on the data collected by using proportionate sampling from a total of 100 dairy farm sample households comprising of 60 Crossbred and 40 Local cows. Net maintenance cost for a milking crossbred cow was Rs. 161.71 and for a milking local cow was Rs. 55.42 per day, respectively. Net return per day from a crossbred milking cow was Rs. 166.
