Buckling and postbuckling behaviors of porous functionally graded graphene platelets-reinforced composite (porous FG-GPLRC) cylindrical shells with stiffeners subjected to external pressures are presented in this paper. Three distribution types of porosity in the shells are considered. The smeared technique for stiffeners is employed to model the mechanical behaviors of the stiffened shells.

In this paper, the type of obstacle micro mixer model was designed and investigated by numerical simulation to improve the mixing efficiency. Passive mixers with tail-added obstacles structures were studied and compared with other conventional T microstructures, and then their mixing performance was numerically evaluated.

A truss model supplementing the concrete contribution is introduced in this paper to predict the shear strength of concrete beams reinforced with various types of FRP bars. The contributions from truss and direct strut mechanisms are considered in the analytical model. The truss model which has struts at various angles considering concrete contribution is derived in this paper.

This study shows the results of landslide susceptibility mapping for the southwest region of Quang Nam province using the Weights of Evidence (WoE) model. The input data consists of a landslide inventory and ten influencing factors, i.e., geology, distance to fault, elevation, relief amplitude, slope, aspect, rainfall, soil type, land use, and distance to road.

This paper introduces a new modified type of FB. Series of two-dimensional wave flume experiments were carried out to investigate the wave attenuation of the new modified type of FB. Research on the physical model of FBs focuses on the wave transmission, wave reflection and wave energy dissipation under random wave conditions. Comparative tests were also carried out between the new modified type of FB and the traditional box FB.

This study investigates customers’ perception of four types of responsibilities in Carroll’s CSR pyramid (1991), including economic, legal, ethical and philanthropic responsibilities; and the effects of their perception of CSR on purchasing intention. The findings show some interesting points. Firstly, the importance level of four responsibilities from customers’ perspective is different from that of Carroll model (1991).

This paper investigates the effects of economic sanctions (ES) on global banking flows (GBF) using 4,022 pairs of 207 countries during the period 1995-2018. We use a structural gravity model combined with the rich Global Sanction DataBase introduced by Felbermayr et al. (2020, 2021). ES include various forms of sanction, including arms, trade, financial, travel, and other sanctions, whereas GBF reflect cross-border lending. Our empirical results show a negative association between ES and GBF. The heterogeneous effects of ES on GBF depend on the types of sanctions.
