Weak topology

In this article "Convergence in capacity and applications", the authors prove that if uj , vj , w ∈ E () such that uj , vj ≥ w, ∀ j ≥ 1, and |uj − vj | → 0 in Cn-capacity, then limj→∞ h(ϕ1,...,ϕm)[(ddcuj )n − (ddcvj )n] = 0 in the weak-topology of measures for all ϕ1,...,ϕm ∈ PSH ∩L∞ loc(), h ∈ C(Rm). We shall then use this result to give some applications.

In this paper, we first introduce a new class of bilevel weak vector variational inequality problems in locally convex Hausdorff topological vector spaces. Then, using the Kakutani-Fan-Glicksberg fixed-point theorem, we establish some existence conditions of the solution for this problem.

In this paper, we will prove some fixed point theorems for the sum and the product of nonlinear weakly sequentially continuous operators acting on a WC–Banach algebra. We prove that if a non-zero weakly compact-friendly operator B on a Banach lattice with topologically full center is locally quasi-nilpotent, then the super right-commutant [B of B has a non-trivial closed invariant ideal. An example of a weakly compact-friendly operator which is not compact-friendly is also provided.

The 2-hydroxycarboxylate transporter (2HCT) family of secondary trans-porters belongs to a much larger structural class of secondary transporters termed ST3 which contains about 2000 transporters in 32 families. A long-standing conjecture due to Michael Freedman asserts that the 4-dimensional topological surgery conjecture fails for non-abelian free groups, or equivalently that a family of canonical examples of links (the generalized Borromean rings) are not A − B slice. A stronger version of the conjecture, that the Borromean rings are not even weakly A − B slice, where one drops the equivariant aspect of the problem, has been the main focus in the search for an obstruction to surgery.
