Cách dùng:  Chỉ thói quen hằng ngày, những việc mà bạn thường xuyên làm: Ex: They drive to the office every day.  Một sự việc hay sự thật hiển nhiên: Ex: The sun rises every morning. Quy tắc: Thêm “s”vào đằng sau hầu hết động từ : live -> lives, work -> works Thêm “es” sau những động từ tận cùng bằng “o, s, ch, x, sh, z”: watch -> watches, finish -> finishes Bỏ “y” và thêm “ies” với động từ kết thúc bởi 1 phụ âm + y: study -> studies Dấu hiệu nhận biết: - Các trạng từ chỉ tần suất: always (luôn luôn), usually (thường xuyên), often (thường), sometimes (thỉnh thoảng), rarely (hiếm khi), seldom (hiếm khi), hardly (hiếm khi), never (không bao giờ)… - Cụm từ với “every”: every day (mỗi ngày), every week (mỗi tuần), every month (mỗi tháng), every year (mỗi năm) - Cụm từ chỉ tần suất: once / twice / three times / four times (một lần/ hai lần/ ba lần/ bốn lần) a day/ week / month / year (một ngày/ tháng / năm) 2. Adverbs of frequency. (Trạng từ tần suất): always, usually, sometimes, often, rarely, rarely, never…. - Chúng ta thường sử dụng trạng từ tần suất với thì hiện tại đơn. - Trạng từ tần suất thường đứng: + Trước động từ thường + Sau động từ tobe. Ex: - Tom usually takes the bus to school. - They don't often go to the cinema. - She is always late for school. 3. Possessive case. (sở hữu cách) - Use’s after a proper name. Ex: This is Elena’s room. - Use’s after a singular noun. Ex: This is my mum’s book. 4. Prepositions of place. ( Các giới từ chỉ nơi chốn) - in (ở trong), on (ở trên), next to (bên cạnh), behind (đằng sau), in front of (phía trước) , under (ở dưới), between ( ở giữa) a. in front of: phía trước Ex: There are flowers in front of my house. b. behind: đằng sau Ex: The tree is behind my house. c. between: ở giữa Ex: Lan is between Ngoc and Nga. d. Next to/ beside: kế bên Ex: The bed is next to the wardrobe. e. Near/ close to: Gần đó (nó có ý nghĩa giống với next to/ beside nhưng giữa hai vật thể này có một khoảng cách nhất định) 2
Ex: The check-in desk is near the front door. f. On: Ở trên Ex: Your English book is on the table. g. In: Ở trong Ex: They have discussed in the meeting room for 2 hours. h. At: Ở… - At dùng để chỉ những địa điểm chính xác, cụ thể. - Chỉ những địa điểm mà người ta tới đó để làm những việc cụ thể (khám chữa bệnh, học hành, đọc sách, xem phim,..): at hospital, at school, at the library, at the movie theater,… Ex: 3 o’clock yesterday? I was reading at library. Why? i. Above/ over: ở trên, cao hơn cái gì đó Ex: Her apartment is above mine. - “Over” còn có nghĩa sự bao phủ bề mặt một cái gì đó, thường dùng với từ “all”  All over Ex: There wine all over the floor. (Rượu đổ đầy sàn nhà) k. Under/ below: Ở dưới, thấp hơn cái gì đó Ex: Under my car is a little cat. It’s so lovely. 5. The present continuous. (Thì hiện tại tiếp diễn) Công thức: Thể khẳng S + am/is/are + V-ing… Ex: She’s talking at the present. định. Thể phủ định. S + am/is/are + not + Ex: He isn’t reading now. V-ing… Thể nghi vấn. Am/Is/Are + S + V-ing…? A: Are you playing football now? -Yes, S + am/is/are. B: Yes, I am No, S + am not/ isn’t/ aren’t. Cách dùng: -Diễn tả hành động đang xảy ra tại thời điểm nói hoặc xung quanh thời điểm nói. Quy tắc: 1 Thêm “ing” bình thường go => going 2 Tận cùng “e” => bỏ e + ing drive => driving 3 Tận cùng “ee” => giữ nguyên + ing see => seeing 4 “nguyên âm + phụ âm” => gấp đôi phụ âm cuối + ing win => winning Trừ “h, w, x, y” => giữ nguyên+ ing fix => fixing 5 Tận cùng “ie” => y + ing die => dying Dấu hiệu nhận biết: -Trong câu thường có: now, at present, at the moment, right now….. -Sau câu mệnh lệnh: Look!
