A. VOCABULARY (UNIT 1-UNIT 3)
B. PRONUNCIATION: /s/ - /z/
- Final -s is pronounced /s/ after voiceless sounds (âm vô thanh: /t/, /p/, /k/, /f/, /θ/).
Ex: books, stamps, months
- Final -s is pronounced /z/ after voiced sounds (âm hữu thanh: /b/, /d/, /g/, /n/, /m/, /l/, etc.) and

4. Possessive cases (Sở hữu cách): N1’s + N2/ N1s’+N2
1. We use (’s) after a proper name.(Chúng ta sử dụng ('s) sau một tên riêng.)
Example: This is Elena’s room. Đây là phòng của Elena.
This is Nam’s pen.
2. We use (’s) after a singular noun. (Chúng ta sử dụng ('s) sau một danh từ số ít.)
Example: This is my mum’s book. Đây là quyển sách của mẹ tôi.
This is my teacher’s book. Đây là quyển sách của cô giáo tôi.
3. We use (’) after a plural noun. (Chúng ta thêm dấu cách (') sau một danh từ số nhiều
có “s” ở cuối.)
Example: Those are students’ school bags. Kia là những chiếc cặp của các em học
sinh.
4. We use (’s) after a special plural noun. (Chúng ta sử dụng ('s) sau một danh từ số
nhiều đặc biệt không có “s” ở cuối.)
Example: men, children, women…
