WH-QUESTION WORDS (TỪ ĐỂ HỎI) Question word + auxiliary + subject + verb...? Với động từ thường E.g:What do you eat? Question word + be + subject...? Với động từ be E.g:Where is Peter? Từ hỏi Mục đích Who Dùng để hỏi về người. Whose Dùng để hỏi về chủ sở hữu. Where Dùng để hỏi vị trí và địa điểm. When Dùng để hỏi về thời gian. Why Dùng để hỏi nguyên nhân và tìm lí do. What Dùng để hỏi về sự vật, việc điều chưa biết. Which Dùng để hỏi về sự lựa chọn. How Dùng để hỏi cách thức, tình trạng. II. CONJUNCTIONS IN COMPOUND SENTENCES: AND , BUT, SO. 1. Từ nối (conjunctions) Các mệnh đề độc lập được nối với nhau bằng các từ nối: and, but, so , or, để tạo nên câu ghép. Đặt dấu phẩy trước từ nối. Ví dụ: 1. The bus was very crowded, so I had to stand all the way. 2. The Japanese eat a lot of rice, and they eat a lot of fodd too. 3. You should eat less fast food, or you can put on weight. 4. The Americans eat a lot, but they do not do enough exercises. III. PAST SIMPLE (THÌ QUÁ KHỨ ĐƠN) 1. Cách dùng - Thì quá khứ đơn được dùng để diễn tả một hành động đã xảy ra và kết thúc trong quá khứ. 2. Các cụm từ thường dùng với thì quá khứ đơn: Yesterday in the (2000, 1980s) (two days, three weeks) ago in the past last (year, month, week) in (2002, June) 3. Cấu trúc thì quá khứ đơn Câu khẳng định Câu phủ định Câu nghi vấn - S + V-ed/P1 (+ O) - (Wh_) + did not/didn't + V + - S was/were + N/adj - S + did not/didn't + V (+ O) (O)? - S wasn’t/weren’t + N/adj - Did+ V + not + (O)?

IV. IMPARATIVES: We use imperatives to tell someone to do something, or to give a direct order. Eg: - It’s a chewing gum. Chew it (Possitive: V+ (please)! - Don’t swallow it ( Don’t + V ! ) V. POSSESSIVE ADJECTIVE AND POSSESSIVE PRONOUN (tính từ sở hữu và đại từ sở hữu) Tính từ sở hữu đứng trước một danh từ trong khi đại từ sở hữu có thể làm chủ ngữ (đứng đầu câu) hoặc làm tân ngữ (đứng cuối câu).
