Date of planning: 05/03/2015 Date of teaching: 13/03/2015 Class: 8A LESSON PLAN Unit 13: FESTIVALS Lesson 1: Getting started & Listen and read Period: 79 I. Objectives: Help students to read for detail about traditional festivals and talk about the Vietnamese traditional festivals. By the end of the lesson students will be able to understand the content of the dialogue and get practice in making compound words. II. Contents. Vocabulary: waterfetching, firemaking, teammate, separate, council, yell, husk, judge. Structures: Compound words: Adjective compound = N+ Ving III. Teaching aids: Books and notebooks, cardboards, posters. IV. Procedure: Teacher’s activities Contents Students’ activities 1
