The effect of state ownership and provincial competitiveness on firm performance: Case of Vietnam

This study investigates the relationship between state-ownership and firm performance as well as the role of the provincial competitiveness in Vietnam by using a sample of 506 listed non-financial firms from 2008 to 2015. Using the two-step system GMM, the study compares the influence of state-ownership on firm performance in low and high provincial competitiveness.
