The current study examined the impact of foreign trade on agricultural output in Nigeria based on data sourced from 1981 to 2018 by employing a number of estimation techniques such as Cobb-Douglas, unit root testing, autoregressive distributed lag among others within the context of two profound theories of exchange rate - the vent – for surplus theory of international trade; factor endowments theory.

The objectives of the project are to expand plant quarantine activities in Vietnam through provision of facilities and equipment, and training to staff to standards required for participation in international trade. The project will also develop training materials to provide ongoing training and reference ensuring self-sufficiency. On completion of the project, staff will be competent in the current methods used in disinfestation research, familiar with equipment and technology and able to prepare submissions for international quarantine authorities.

In recent years Vietnam’s forest coverage has undergone rapid expansion, with a marked increase in plantings of exotic species of Eucalyptus, Acacia and Pinus. This expansion provides excellent opportunities for new international export markets for timber products. However it also represents new and increased risks from forestry pests and diseases, which in outbreak circumstances can have catastrophic consequences on plantation establishment and productivity. These risks come from pest and disease species already established in Vietnam, and exotic species not yet present in the country....
