In this study, a computational investigation of the physicochemical properties of hypericin and pseudohypericin revealed drug-like characteristics. Pharmacokinetic predictions indicated that hypericin and pseudohypericin are non-toxic to the central nervous system, hepatic system, and cardiac system. Molecular docking results indicated a strong binding affinity of hypericin/pseudohypericin with MPXV thymidylate kinase. As a result, these compounds are being considered as potential Mpox control candidates.

Studies on nanoparticle-protein interaction have also not been studied. This would give information on ratio influence on the structural alteration of EGCg in EGCg-AuNPs and its functionality in vivo. Herein, the optimisation of EGCg-AuNPs will be determined with a large pool of stoichiometric synthesises of gold and EGCg. These optimised EGCg-AuNPs would then be studied with bovine serum albumin (BSA) for protein interactions, binding and thermodynamics.

The aim of this project was to select highly sensitive and specific aptamer capable of detecting Fusarium graminearum (Fg) and F. pseudograminearum (Fp) species. The aptamer-based testing allows early detection of fungal infection in the field. Fungi are known to change their activity and may often undergo genetic changes. The classic "gene for gene" theory explains the relationship between host plant cultivars and fungal pathogenic races.

This study focuses on exploring the effects of networks on the process of commercialisation in the biotechnology industry. The biotechnology industry itself has a specific position in the industrial markets because of its capability of successfully employing network knowledge to innovate products and services. However, the industry struggles to implement the resource networks to take innovations to market.

This study was aimed to screen and isolate thermophilic fungi from three selected compost wastes sites (Palm oil mill, Wood chip piles and Abattoir dump), and identify potential producers of lipases, cellulases and proteases respectively. The thermophilic fungi were obtained from an equal depth of one meter in all the three collection sites with a temperature range of 40 to 45OC and later cultured at 70 OC. F

Optimization techniques predict the conditions required to increase the efficacy of azo dyes degradation by microbial sources and also decrease the number of experimental runs to achieve the maximum percentage of degradation. Interaction of variables such as medium components and process parameters can be determined using optimization tools.

The major protein fraction in pearl millet is prolamin the alcohol soluble fraction called pennisetin. Researches on the factors affecting pennisetin extraction and on its functional properties are still very scant. In this paper, the effect of temperature, reducing agents (β-mercaptoethanol, dithiothreitol or sodium metabisulfite) and sodium hydroxide on pennisetin extraction was assessed.

Bacterial strains isolated from milk and dairy products produce a range of lantibiotics which can employed for development of food preservatives, flavor enhancers and as alternate treatment strategies for multi drug resistant bacterial pathogens. The diverse category of lantibiotics from milk isolates include well characterized prototypes like nisin to newer peptides yet to be studied.
